DICCI West Bengal Chapter On January 08, 2016 the West Bengal Chapter of Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI), established in 2005 by Milind Kamble, was launched.

The Pune-based Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) was established in 2005 by Milind Kamble, a civil engineer and entrepreneur. While Mr. Kamble is currently the Chairman, the organization has grown with the help of 18 state chapters & 7 International Chapters. Its membership base is rapidly expanding as more Dalit entrepreneurs become aware of its activities and what it can offe

r them. The activities of its members are quite diversified ranging from manufacturing (sectors such as chemicals, agri-products, frozen foods, plastics, textiles, pest control, metals and metallurgy, marine engineering, solar energy, sugar refining), construction and services (health care, hospitality industries, education and international trade).

DICCI West Bengal Chapter, represented by Ms. Munmun Biswas and her team attended the 1st State Level Trainers Workshop on Stand Up India Scheme at NABARD Regional Office in Kolkata. The workshop was attended by Smt T S Raji Gain, Chief General Manager NABARD, General Manager, SIDBI, MSME, UBI, Kolkata and other dignitaries.
DICCI West Bengal Chapter gave a brief overview of our expectations and shared their willingness to contribute towards the exemplary implementation of the scheme.

With the advancement of digital initiatives there has been lot of success stories woven around start-ups especially selling online. Implementation of ideas with passion has shed the brick and mortar with a virtual space. Interestingly this idea has penetrated into garments, cosmetics and daily requirements which includes procurement of fresh vegetables.

We ponder, we think and get fascinated about a lot of things. We get inspired by success stories. We also have brilliant and fresh ideas that can pave a new direction. But all that required is the zeal and enduring passion to fuel those scripted ideas into another success story. No matter in what domain we are working in, one can always find a way. In the present day scenario, a multi-faceted, interdisciplinary approach can be an asset to reckon with.
