খুব ছোটবেলা থেকেই গল্পের বই পড়ার নেশা ছিল। সত্যি বললে ওটাই আমার প্রথম প্রেম। আর এই কারণেই আমার বাংলাসাহিত্য নিয়ে পড়াশোনা করা। কিন্তু পরে আসতে আসতে ব্যবসায়ী হয়ে গিয়ে নেশাটা অন্যদিকে ঘুরে যায়। কয়েকদিন আগে ছেলে সঙ্গে করে স্টারমার্ক-এ নিয়ে যায়(ওদের জেনারেশন বোধহয় এখানেই স্বচ্ছন্দ বোধ করে), আর আমিও খুঁজে পাই আমার সেই ভুলে যাওয়া প্রেম কে। ওখান থেকে ২ টি বই কিনি নিজের জন্য, দেবরাতি মুখোপাধ্যায়ের ‘শিখণ্ডী’ আর রাজশেখর বসুর ‘বাল্মীকি রামায়ণ’। ব্যাস, ‘শিখণ্ডী’ গোগ্রাসে গিলেই ছুটলাম কলেজ স্ট্রিট।পুরনো প্রেম ফিরে এসেই ভাসিয়ে নিয়ে গেল এক অপার আনন্দের জগতে। ব্যাগ ভর্তি করে যা নিয়ে এলাম সেদিন আপনাদের সঙ্গে ভাগ করে নিচ্ছি।
