Please, for the love of common sense, don't assume this is a political post. I'm not affiliated with any political party. My daily meals aren't sponsored by any ideology, I earn them myself.
Anyway, to those enthusiastically spreading the rumour that LIC has magically vanished policyholders' money and pulled off the scam of the century, I have a humble request.
Most of you are carrying a smartphone that's far more expensive than the effort you're putting into fact-checking. There's an app called ChatGPT. Download it. Type your question in Bengali, English, Hindi, Urdu, Korean, or whatever language you understand.
Ask it: "What is the LIC scam everyone is talking about?"
Read the answer.
Then return to the comment section and let us know whether the scam was committed by LIC, or by the WhatsApp University professor who forwarded the message at 2:17 a.m. with seventeen red warning emojis.
Until then, rumours remain rumours, screenshots remain screenshots, and forwarding a message is still not the same thing as knowing what you're talking about.
