West Bengal GST Updates:
With effect from 1st December 2023, for all movement of goods within the State of West Bengal, E-Way Bill will be required to be generated, if the consignment value exceeds 50,000/-. This will also include movement of goods to/from the job worker.

- Due date for ITR filing for FY 2019-20 for non audit cases extended to 31st December, 2020.

- Tax Audit for FY 2019-20 filing date also extended to 31st December, 2020.*

- ITR Filing date for entities subject to tax audit for FY 19-20 extended to 31st January, 2021*

- ITR Filing Due date of International Transactions Taxpayers for FY 19-20 extended to 31st January, 2021.*

The due date for filing Annual Returns (GSTR 9 & GSTR 9C) has been extended to 31st December 2019 for the period 17-18 and 31st March 2020 for 18-19.

Other simplifications are also being done by the GST council in the Annual Return.

New services added under the ambit of compulsory Reveres Charge Mechanism w.e.f 1st October 2019 -

1. Supply of service by an author by way of transfer or permitting the use or enjoyment of a copyright.
2. Services provided by way of renting of a motor vehicle provided to a body corporate.
3. Services of lending of securities under Securities Lending Scheme.

The last date for furnishing of Annual Return in the FORM GSTR-9 / FORM GSTR-9A and FORM GSTR-9C for the financial year 2017-18 has been extended from 31st August, 2019 to 30th November, 2019.
