The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has rolled out a pilot project on entrepreneurship development in the holy city of Kollur, Karnataka. The project aims to develop the enterprises in Kollur town of Byndoor taluk, Udupi district of Karnataka. The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), based in Guwahati, is implementing this project under the Ministry of Skill Development a

nd Entrepreneurship, Government of India, with Access Livelihoods Consulting India Limited as the Local Implementing Agency (LIA). The project aims to engage the residents of the Temple Town of Kollur in entrepreneurial activities, promote entrepreneurship and mentor micro and small businesses. The project focuses on existing businesses (with or without a credit history, hoping to resume or scale up) and new enterprises. The local implementing agency, Access Livelihoods (AL), will identify the scope, assess the current situation, and then go on to an implementation phase of identifying beneficiaries and training for skill gaps and competencies. Finally, handhold and mentor them to support and provide access to finance, markets, mentors to operationalise their plans. The LIA shall ensure that a minimum number of 300 existing enterprises and early-stage entrepreneurs benefit from this project.

The project's focus on imparting knowledge about loans, schemes, and business management proved instrumental in Supreetha’s ability to scale her business and expand her customer base. Furthermore, the networking opportunities facilitated by the project, such as business cards and participation in the Namma Bhoomi apparel training, empowered Supreetha to connect with a wider audience and establish herself as a respected entrepreneur. As Supreetha plans to open a new beauty parlor and establish a beautician training center in another location, she aspires to create more employment opportunities and contribute to the growth of the beauty industry. Kollur Prasadam Initiative:

The team has identified a celebrity chef, Mr Sudarshan Bhat to make the Kollur sweet. Sudarshan, who has nearly 1 million subscribers on his YouTube channel Bhat‘n'Bhat makes videos by using traditional methods for preparing food, in Kannada and is highly popular in Karnataka, getting around 200 million views for his videos.

The team has been working with him for some time to develop the sweet varieties. He prepared three varieties of sweets - two varieties of Phalaprada and one variety of Amrutha Phala.

These samples were given to the District Collector, Udupi, Shri M Kurma Rao and to the temple committee members - the President, Mr Chandrashekhar Shetty, the Executive Officer Mr SC Kotaragasti, Trustee members, Ms Ratna Ramesh Kundar and Mr Gopalakrishna. They have tasted and chosen one sweet of Phalaprada.

The Temple Committee has decided to give the sweet to the devotees in the Kollur temple as Prasadam in future.

ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರು ಸಿಹಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಲು ನಾವು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಆಹಾರ ತಜ್ಞ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುದರ್ಶನ್ ಭಟ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಸುದರ್ಶನ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಯೂಟ್ಯೂಬ್ ಚಾನೆಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 1 ಮಿಲಿಯನ್ ಸಬ್‌ಸ್ಕ್ರೈಬರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಭಟ್'ಎನ್'ಭಟ್ ಚಾನೆಲ್ ಮಾಲಕ ಅವರು ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಲು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವೀಡಿಯೊಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ವೀಡಿಯೊಗಳಿಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 200 ಮಿಲಿಯನ್ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನಪ್ರಿಯರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸಿಹಿ ತಿಂಡಿಯನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲು ತಂಡವು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೆಲವು ಸಮಯದಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅವರು ಮೂರು ವಿಧದ ಸಿಹಿತಿಂಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ - ಎರಡು ವಿಧದ ಫಲಪ್ರದ ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದು ವಿಧದ ಅಮೃತ ಫಲ.

ಈ ಮಾದರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ, ಉಡುಪಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಎಂ ಕೂರ್ಮಾ ರಾವ್ ಮತ್ತು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಸಮಿತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಸ್‌ಸಿ ಕೋಟಾರಗಸ್ತಿ, ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಎಂಎಸ್ ರತ್ನಾ ರಮೇಶ್ ಕುಂದರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಅವರು ಫಲಪ್ರದದ ಒಂದು ಸಿಹಿಯನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಿಹಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸಾದವಾಗಿ ನೀಡಲು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಸಮಿತಿ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ.

Arpita A Achary had joined our Terracotta training few months back. She is a young person who is following her interests and talent. She is making excellent terracotta jewelry as can be seen in the photos. This training was conducted by Access Livelihoods (AL) as part Holy Kollur temple town pilot project from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the Government of India (GOI).

Now, we are providing the upcoming entrepreneurs with the incubation support. In this, she is getting advice and guidance from experts, raw materials which are not in the local town and marketing support to take her enterprise forward. The youth in the town are being supported to take up entrepreneurship for their growth and Kollur development.

ಅರ್ಪಿತಾ ಎ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಕೆಲವು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಟೆರಾಕೋಟಾ ತರಬೇತಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವಳು ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಯುವ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ. ಫೋಟೋಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಬಹುದಾದಂತೆ ಅವರು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾದ ಟೆರಾಕೋಟಾ ಆಭರಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರ (GOI) ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯೋದ್ಯಮ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯ (MSDE) ನಿಂದ ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಆಕ್ಸೆಸ್ ಲೈವ್ಲಿಹುಡ್ಸ್ (AL) ನಡೆಸಿತ್ತು.

ಈಗ, ನಾವು ಆಸಕ್ತ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಲು ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವರು ತಜ್ಞರಿಂದ ಸಲಹೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಉದ್ಯಮವನ್ನು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯಲು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಬೆಂಬಲವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯುವಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯಮಶೀಲತೆ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
