An important update for pharma API importers.

DGFT has extended the Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition on Sulfadiazine API — covered under Chapter 29 of ITC (HS), 2022.

The MIP remains ₹1,774 per Kg on CIF value, extended up to 30th November 2026, with all other terms and conditions unchanged.

If you import Sulfadiazine API, ensure your declared CIF value meets the threshold — customs clearance depends on it.

For Raw Sugar TRQ holders: DGFT has extended the deadline to surrender any unutilised quota allocated under the 10 LMT Raw Sugar TRQ scheme.

You now have until 15th October 2026 to surrender unused quantity, subject to a charge of 0.5% of the CIF value of the surrendered amount. All other terms from Public Notice No. 27/2026-27 remain unchanged.

If you hold TRQ allocation you won't use, act before the window closes.

Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) Extended Till March 2027 🌾
The Government of India has approved the continuation of the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) scheme beyond 30 September 2026. The scheme will remain operational up to 31 March 2027 or until the approval of the scheme for the 16th Finance Commission period, whichever is earlier.
✅ Scheme extended up to 31.03.2027
✅ Existing provisions, scope, cost norms, and conditions remain unchanged
✅ Continuation subject to the approved FY 2026-27 budget allocation
✅ Committed liabilities from the current Finance Commission period will continue to be supported
The extension ensures continued support for strengthening agricultural infrastructure and enhancing post-harvest management across the country.

A narrow but important update for chemical importers.

DGFT has extended the Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition on ATS-8 [(4R-Cis)-1,1-Dimethylethyl-6-cyanomethyl-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane-4-acetate] — imported under ITC (HS) Codes 29329990, 29339990, 29333990, 29321990, 29349990, 29420090, 29189990, 29159099, 29163990 & 29225090.

The MIP remains USD $111 per Kg on CIF value, extended up to 30th November 2026, with all other terms and conditions unchanged.

If you import under any of these HS codes, ensure your declared CIF value meets the threshold — customs clearance depends on it.

Good news for exporters planning Q4 shipments: DGFT has confirmed the RoDTEP Scheme will continue till 31st December 2026.

What stays the same:
→ Applicable to Domestic Tariff Area units, Advance Authorisation holders, SEZ units, and EOUs
→ Existing RoDTEP rates and value caps (as per Appendix 4R & 4RE) remain unchanged
→ All other terms and conditions of the Scheme stay as they are

No disruption, no re-application needed — if you're already claiming RoDTEP, your benefit continues uninterrupted through the next quarter.

Good news for small and first-time exporters.
DGFT has amended Para 2.57 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023 — export consignments with FOB value up to ₹3,00,000 are now exempt from the RCMC (Registration-cum-Membership Certificate) or Certificate of Registration requirement.

This is aimed at promoting small-value exports — especially through postal, courier, and emerging e-commerce channels.

Important: this exemption applies only below ₹3 lakh FOB. If your consignment value exceeds ₹3,00,000, RCMC or Certificate of Registration continues to be mandatory wherever otherwise applicable.

If you hold an Advance Authorisation or DFIA under any of 544 specific SION codes, this notice needs your attention.

DGFT has reviewed SION utilisation and identified 544 codes unused under the AA/DFIA Schemes for the last three financial years. It now proposes to suspend them — and is inviting comments/objections from exporters, importers, EPCs, and industry associations before finalising.

⏳ You have 15 days from 7 September 2026 to respond with reasons for retention, along with proof of actual or proposed utilisation.
🚫 Comments submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

If your product's SION is on this list and you have a genuine, upcoming use case, don't assume it'll stay by default — silence is being read as "unused, safe to suspend."

DGFT has launched an Open API facility for Certificate of Origin (CoO) issuance on the Trade Connect e-Platform.

What it enables: exporters can now integrate their ERP or accounting software directly with DGFT's CoO system — cutting manual data entry and speeding up application processing.

Covers both:
🔹 Preferential CoO — for tariff concessions under FTAs/RTAs/PTAs (India-UAE CEPA, India-Australia ECTA, ASEAN-India FTA, and more)
🔹 Non-Preferential CoO — for customs clearance & compliance purposes

This is a technical integration — requiring API credentials, digital signing (SHA-256 RSA), and IP whitelisting. It's a strong fit if you have in-house dev/ERP capability. If you don't, manual CoO filing through a consultant remains the simpler route — for now.
