In 1985 we started procurement from the farmers directly and not in the market .So we were able to get the raw material in the purchase price itself without additional cost or interference of middleman. In 1990 we stared tamarind packets in small packing like 1Kg , 500 gms .Thus the tamarind they purchased from the farmers directly reached the consumer in a hygienic way at a low cost.In 1988 the f
irm has grown into a limited company.The turnover which was in few crores grew into multicrores . The company which was in the National level in 1999 started its Export Business and entered International Level .It has now stamped firmly its foothold in the International Level.We have started import and export division .In 2000 we have exported nearly 2500 Tonnes of Tamarind with seeds and without fibre to Exporters and for its self exports. OMS being the market leaders in tamarind is mainly due to the sheer hard work of our forefathers who have toiled day & night to set new high standards in the market. The company enjoys a very good man power who are associated with us for more than four generations. Since we provide a major work force for people round the year we do have a good respect and support of people around Dindigul districts. At Chennai the capital city of state Tamil Nadu we have a god down measuring 10,000 sq.ft at Red Hills an half an hour drive taking us to harbor. Here also grading & packing are done for which special persons are appointed. We do have our own transportation to deliver the goods to our customers as per our commitments.
