EDII-MAFBIF organizes one-day paid training programme on “Commercial Tree Farming” on 24.10.2024 from 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM at MAFBIF, Forest College and Research Institute, Mettupalayam to the interested participants. The training is planned to accommodate only limited participants for Rs.2500/ head (Including lunch, Refreshments and Certificate) as a training fee. During the training program, the participants will be exposed to commercial tree farming-nursery practices for commercial tree cultivation, field demonstration on precision silviculture practices, tree insurance, timber transit rule.

Nabard Funded one day training on Essential Oil extraction was conducted today by MAFBIF. About 60 trainees participated in the training.

On 10.09.2024 ,Tamil Nadu State team -Dr.V.Jeyakumar, Joint Director Vocational Education Directorate of School Education visited Mettupalayam Agroforestry Business Incubation Forum to explore about the functioning and operations of MAFBIF with a focus on identifying similar approaches to integrate with vocational education programs and to Explore Collaboration to provide an opportunity on feasibility of creating internship opportunities and other programs that could benefit students from government schools, enabling them to acquire valuable skills and practical experience in the field of agroforestry.

A two day training on forest products based cosmetics was organised on 20 & 21.08.24 at MAFBIF.

Hands on training, formulations and a hand book on proceedure for herbal soaps, shampoo, lip balm, Eye cream, face cream, hair oil along with a certificate was provided. About 16 trainees participated in the event.
