We are on a mission to make 5000 public places in India Accessible Anuprayaas is a social organization that works closely with people with disabilities to spread awareness on visual impairment and to make public places like railway stations accessible. We are on a mission to make 5000 public places accessible by 2030. We conduct Disability Awareness Programs for corporates, colleges & public offices. Anuprayaas and our work in accessibility in India have been featured in "Disability at a Glance 2019" by United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). We have also been featured in DEMYSTIFYING ACCESSIBILITY IN BUILT INFRASTRUCTURE 2021 published by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India

Our Focus Areas: Our major areas of work are Accessibility & Inclusion for People with Disability.

1. Inclusion: Disability Awareness Program: This program is specially designed to train the people on the Dos and Don'ts of behaviour that a person must take care of while interacting with a person of a certain disability.

2. Accessibility: Making Public Places like Railway Stations, Metro Stations & Historic Monuments Accessible: Anuprayaas is on a mission to make public places especially railway stations accessible for people with visual disabilities. We install braille indicators & signs throughout the railway stations, which enable Visually Impaired people to navigate through the facility with minimal assistance and empower them to find the platform numbers on their own. We install braille tactile maps; provide portable ramps for wheelchair users; Reflective guiding demarcations on the pathways, guidance booklets and scannable QR code audio videos to assist people with speech and hearing disabilities. We aim to create an environment for people who are Visually Impaired can commute with minimal assistance.

3. CSR Planning and Implementation: We aim to assist corporates who are beginning their CSR journey, to define their CSR Goals to be in line with their Organization's Vision. We assist corporates to identify beneficiaries, create & monitor projects and conduct impact surveys post-implementation of the projects. You can support us by buying a Braille Art Home Decor frame with us. 20% of the profits from your purchase will be donated to make schools accessible for students with visual disabilities. https://anuprayaas.org/braillemate-home-decor/

Thank you & Tech Mahindra Foundation for featuring Anuprayaas and recognising our mission to build a more accessible and inclusive India.

What started as a vision over a decade ago has grown into a movement driven by the belief that accessibility is not a special feature—it is a fundamental right. Every tactile pathway, Braille sign, Indian Sign Language resource, accessibility audit, and inclusive training programme brings us one step closer to a world where everyone can navigate public spaces with dignity and independence.

We are grateful to our CSR partners, government departments, organisations, disability advocates, and the disability community for trusting us and collaborating on this journey. Together, we have made 200+ public spaces across India more accessible—and this is just the beginning.

Our commitment remains the same: to continue designing practical, scalable, and impactful accessibility solutions that create lasting social change.

Let’s work together to make accessibility the standard, not the exception.
