While writing a date on any document in the upcoming year 2020, we should write it in its full format, e.g. 31/01/2020 and not as 31/01/20., because anyone can change it to 31/01/2000 or 31/01/2019 or in between any year to suit his convenience. That can render the document invalid.

So be cautious about this. Don't write and also don't accept it in any documents.

This problem will persist only during the year 2020.

Extension of the due date for filing of returns for FY 2017-18 in *FORM GSTR-9, 9A and 9C till 31st March 2019* vide Press Release dated 7th December, 2018.

Changes in E-Way Bill Portal wef 1.10.2018

1. Only relevant document type e.g. bill or bill of supply shall appear based on supply type and sub-type.

2. No need to enter state. It will appear automatically as per pin code in address of consignor and consignee.

3. Standard rates for tax provided in the drop down list for selection.

4. Additional fields for “CESS Non Advol Amount” & “Other Value” have been introduced to enter CESS Non
Advol amount and any other charges (+/-) written in invoice.

5. Generator of the E-Way Bill will be alerted through SMS if total invoice value is more than Rs. 10 Crores.

6. Transporter ID compulsory for generating Part-A slip.

MCA UPDATE: DIR-3 KYC FEES REDUCED FOR 15 DAYS

DIR-3 KYC fee payable Rs. 500 from 21st September to 5th October and thereafter Rs. 5,000, vide amendment notification dated 20.09.2018.

The CBDT has issued a Circular defers implementation of Clause 30C and Clause 44 of the Revised Tax audit Report Form 3CD upto 31 March 2019, earlier notified on 20 July 2018 to be applicable from 20 Aug. 2018 in view of representations from stakeholders, like ICAI, etc. Accordingly, this partial deferment of amendments will not affect other changes made in Form 3CD applicable from 20 Aug. 2018
