There’s still a lot of confusion about the “1-year gratuity for everyone” update. Here’s the correct version: simple, and straight from the code.

The 1-year gratuity eligibility applies only to Fixed-Term Employees (FTEs) and contract workers. For permanent employees, the familiar 5-year rule continues as it is.
