✨ Real speech means your child says the right word, at the right time, by themselves — without being told.
This is what the correct speech ladder looks like. 🪜

Don’t just count words. Learn to choose the right ladder for your child’s progress.

11/09/2025

Meaningful speech comes when the ladder is right and the child feels safe.

Your job:
👉 Find the right ladder.
👉 Find your child’s starting step.
👉 Climb one step at a time.

Watch for these 3 signals:
✨ Calm body
✨ Joyful face
✨ Child taking initiative

Not force. Not bribes. Not rapid-fire prompts.

💡 But here’s the real question:
Are you curious enough to know what is the correct ladder?
And how do you know if you’ve found it?
Stay tuned

🌸 This Teachers’ Day, I received a gift more precious than any bouquet 💐 or box of sweets 🍫 —
One of my adult students with autism gifted me a bowl of tendli bhaji 🥗 — every piece cut with perfection ✨.

👩‍🍳 For the last few months, I’ve been working with her parents to help her become independent in cooking skills.

Today’s gift wasn’t just food 🥘. It was confidence 💪, effort 💚, and love ❤️ served on a plate. The real celebration of teaching is watching independence bloom 🌱🌼.

Every slice 🔪 spoke of effort, attention 👀, and love 🤍. Sometimes the simplest gifts carry the deepest meaning 🌟.

Sharing a testimonial by one of my patient family.

Hello everyone, I am the mother of an 8 years old son who is on the Autism Spectrum.
For the past 2 years he has been on RDI program under the esteemed mentorship of Dr. Dhanashree Pawar. The main challenge we faced was that he couldn’t understand other person’s perspective. He couldn’t expres empathy.
Yesterday a miraculous incident happened and I as a parent wanted to share the same with you. We went to the park in the evening. There was a tunnel with stairs on one end and slide on other end.
My son always climbs in from the slide end to the tunnel rather than climbing up the stairs.
A small girl, 3-4 years old was sitting at the slide end.
He said ,”get aside”on which the girl said “No”.Again he pleaded, she said no again then he told her father to tell her to get aside. Her father told him to climb up the stairs and come down.
In the past,my son could not take this change and would have got very hyper but now my son seemed calm.
Just then another little boy came from the other end and was about to hit the girl’s back. We didn’t notice this until my son shouted,”watch out” to the girl and he put his hand behind her back so that she doesn’t get hurt.He was able to express his empathy so well.
He didn’t want her to get hurt though she was not listening to him.
It was a heart warming sight and I could feel how sensitive he was.

After two years of training under the supervision of Dr Dhanashri ,I now believe in the power of parent training, for the brain development of neurodiverse children.

A heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Pawar for handholding me and being the torch bearer. These changes were not possible if she had not trained me and help me comprehend the magical RDI program.

🤔 Is _pasara_ more important than potential?

Many times, creativity and innovation is a messy task. Parents (in stress) tend to react only on this mess and not the child’s creativity.

When parents are self-regulated, they can have joyful conversations with their child which holds space— not only to showcase their unique potential but also learn important life skills.

🤫 Parents ask children to stop crying for many reasons, some could be:
-they themselves feel uncomfortable with the loudness/ crying.
-they are worried about how it shows in public/ to the society.

😭 Crying is a natural response to processing certain situations, especially for children.

🫨 Yelling, confronting, or speaking logic to a person who is in an emotional state not only gets them further dysregulated but also impacts the relationship with the person.

🙌 When there’s enough time given for the processing and regulating emotions, one can come out and reflect on the incident more objectively.

🫶 As parents, when you hold space for your child to cry and express, they will find it safe to open up about their emotions instead of suppressing it because of your reactions or worrying about disappointing you. Being calm around a crying child helps them co-regulate with you i.e come back to a calm state of mind much more easily.

Do let us know what you think about this!

Please note: The perspective shown in this video is one of a billion perspectives and it comes with a lot of practice and process. Building parent-child relationships is like running a marathon. Not a sprint. Trust comes with time and consistency.
