Mahanagar Gas Welcome to MGL-Touching lives of over 30 Lakh people through PNG & CNG in Mumbai & neighbouring areas Established in 1995 with GAIL (India) Ltd. as its promoter.

Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) is one of India’s leading natural gas distribution companies. MGL has to its credit the distinction of pioneering the natural gas distribution network in the metropolis of Mumbai and its neighbouring areas. Today, MGL has over 16.5 lahks domestic PNG customers and more than 4000 commercial and industrial customers. MGL also supplies CNG to more than 8 lakh vehicles which include public as well as private transport vehicles. MGL has all the resources and competencies required from concept to commissioning of gas distribution networks available in-house. General Information (Community Guidelines):

A New Chapter in India's Gas Story!

A significant moment for India's offshore exploration and energy journey. Big congratulations to ONGC Limited and its entire team on discovering natural gas at the MDW-28 well in the deep waters of the Mahanadi Basin, off the Odisha coast.

The discovery, made in the first well of ONGC's current deepwater exploration campaign, highlights the potential of India's offshore resources and the continuing importance of domestic exploration in strengthening energy security.
The well has shown gas flow with sustained reservoir pressure, while further appraisal will determine the recoverable resources and commercial viability.

For an industry built around keeping India's homes, businesses and mobility moving, every new chapter in the country's domestic gas journey matters! Discoveries like this reflect continued exploration of India's energy potential and the development of domestic resources.

Expanding clean mobility across Mumbai.

We are pleased to announce the inauguration and commencement of commercial sales at our new GOM Goregaon CNG Station today.

The station marks two significant milestones: Mumbai's first CNG station with a hive design and the first station with NFR, among the first such implementations in the CGD sector.

The milestone was marked in the presence of our Managing Director, Mr. Praveer Srivastava, and Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Ajay Sinha, who were felicitated at the ceremony.
The new facility strengthens fuelling accessibility for Goregaon's commuters and commercial fleets, furthering Mahanagar Gas Limited's commitment to reliable, sustainable and future-ready energy infrastructure.
