Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) is one of India’s leading natural gas distribution companies. MGL has to its credit the distinction of pioneering the natural gas distribution network in the metropolis of Mumbai and its neighbouring areas. Today, MGL has over 16.5 lahks domestic PNG customers and more than 4000 commercial and industrial customers. MGL also supplies CNG to more than 8 lakh vehicles whic

Today, we proudly declared Ashiv Village in Latur district as an LPG-Free, PNG Village - marking a significant milestone in MGL's journey towards expanding access to Piped Natural Gas (PNG).

With 100% PNG connectivity, Ashiv becomes Maharashtra's first LPG-Free, PNG Village.

But a milestone of this scale is never achieved by one organisation alone...

It is made possible when communities, government authorities, industry partners, contractors and citizens come together with a shared purpose.

Building spaces where curiosity can experiment, discover and grow... With New Science & Chemistry Laboratories!

As part of MGL Vidya, Mahanagar Gas Limited has supported the Social Service School, Parel, with the development of new Science and Chemistry laboratories, strengthening access to practical science education for around 900 students.

Established in 1911, the Social Service School carries a remarkable legacy of providing education to underserved communities, with a vision rooted in addressing the challenges of poverty and education among Mumbai's working class.

The inauguration of the two laboratories was a meaningful moment for us at MGL. Mr. Praveer Kumar Shrivastava (Managing Director - MGL) and Mr. Sanket Dhotre (VP - HR & CSR - MGL) inaugurated the facilities in the presence of the School Trustees, staff, students and the MGL CSR team.

Through the initiative, we remain committed to supporting educational opportunities that can help young minds learn, explore and build the confidence to shape their own future.

Recognition is meaningful when it reflects a larger purpose.

Through MGL Aarogya, our CSR initiative, Mahanagar Gas Limited has been appreciated for its contribution to the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) by the Public Health Department, Government of Maharashtra.

The appreciation was received on behalf of MGL by Mr. Sanket Dhotre (VP - HR & CSR) and Mr. Susanta Kumar Rout (DGM - CSR) at the Corporate Engagement Summit 2026, held on 12th August 2026.

The recognition was presented by Shri Sanjay Katkar (IAS), Commissioner, Health Services and MD, National Health Mission, along with Smt. Meghna Sakore Bordikar, Hon'ble Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare, Maharashtra, and Shri Prakash Abitkar, Hon'ble Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare, Maharashtra.

Mr. Praveer Kumar Srivastava (MD - MGL) and Mr. Ajay Sinha (DMD - MGL) visited the CGS Usarghar site to get a closer view of its operations, teams working on the ground and infrastructure, which form an important part of the natural gas distribution network.
