Getting Investors on Board looks like the Right Choice, Wrong Choice is Getting Investor on Board without a plan. 👇

With my Experience of working with Founders of different Domains, I have clearly understood that Getting Investor on Board looks like the best choice to take care of Cash Flow. But it is also the truth that I have seen complete investor funds getting utilized for everything else than the purpose they were intended for. 🚀

Why this happens is because of 3 reasons: 💬

1) We have not planned in detail how we will utilize the Funds.

2) Sales System are out of sync with modern reality, and we are continuously in chase to make enough Revenue.

3) Middle management is not there, and the company is heavily dependent upon the Founder.

As Daily firefighting is prevalent because of the above reasons, Proper utilization of funds does not happen, and in 6 months’ time, we are looking down the barrel with cash flow again in negative. 🔊

Give yourself enough time for pre-planning, and then Getting Investor on Board will be the best thing possible for Business. ✔

Getting Investor on board is becoming FAD nowadays with Business Founders who want to grow their Business. 💬

Is it beneficial to get investor on board? From my experience of last 6 years of working with different Founders, the answer will be BIG NO for 95% of Ventures. The main reason for the above is because of few compelling reasons. ⬇

1️⃣ Manpower-Driven Companies: Companies often rely heavily on manpower rather than established processes.

2️⃣ Profit and Revenue Focus: The main focus is on increasing profits and revenue annually, rather than taking time to stabilize the business and its processes.

3️⃣ Lack of Management: There is typically a lack of senior and middle management, with only a few senior folks, including the founder, handling key responsibilities.

4️⃣ Cash Flow Issues: Cash flow is consistently tight, there is lots of firefighting going on in getting sales and then Delivery the Sales.

So whatever Investment you get (IF YOU GET), will go down the drain due to the lack of proper structure and processes. Founders end up in a worse position, with investors pressuring them for Returns.

If you are looking for upscaling your Venture, focus on creating a Model which is Scalable and that will happen when you put down the works in having RIGHT MANPOWER in key positions and your PROCESSES are SET to cater to the investment you are seeking.

With these things in place, there will be high chances that you will be able to do justice to your plan of actions for Growth of your Venture.
