6 TIMES BLINKS
6X Blink - Backlight System Failure
NOTE: All models will make two attempts to power up before a 6X is activated. The SONY logo
(Backlight) may or may not display on the screen. However, the splash tones will be heard two times.
After the second attempt the TV will turn off and the standby LED will blink a 6X protection mode.
(Note: The splash tone may not be heard if it is turned off or the volume is set to minimum.) If a 6X
blink pattern is activated then a defect has occurred in one of the following areas.
Defective Panel LED(s)
Defective Power Supply
When troubleshooting a 6X backlight system failure it is key to notice if the backlights illuminate
before the TV shuts off. The following list shows the possible backlight status and blink pattern and
the possible failed components.
* Momentary Backlight and 6X [Defective LED(s) (LCD Panel Assb.)]
* No Backlight and 6X [Replace Power Supply]
In most cases, if the Sony logo (Backlight) momentarily illuminates and the TV shuts off and a 6X is
activated than one or more of the backlight LEDs are defective. The LCD Panel assembly panel must
be replaced for a defective LED. However, before replacing the LCD panel assembly check for a
complete loss of the Negative Backlight (-89V to -125V) power supply. The -89V to -125V power
supply can be checked at CN6702/pins 1 & 3.
If there is no backlight before the TV shuts off and activates a 6X, than check the “Backlight ON”
signal from the TV microprocessor and the Positive (+145V) Backlight power supply from the Power
Supply Board. The BL-ON signal can be checked at CN6704/pin 5 and the +145V at CN6701/pins 1 &
3. If the “Backlight-ON” signal is okay and the Positive Power supply is missing then the Power
Supply Board is defective. However, if the Backlight-ON is missing then the X-Reality Microprocessor
is defective and the Main Board must be replaced to repair the problem.

5 TIMES BLINKS
5X Blink - T-CON Error
The 5X blink protection mode indicates a communications error between the T-CON Board and the
X-Reality microprocessor on the Main Board. If the T-CON is available for replacement, replace the T- CON. [If the T-CON is not available, the LCD panel must be replaced since the T-CON circuit is part of
the LCD panel assembly.] In rare cases a loose or defective LVDS cable could also be the cause

Tv installation with dimensions views
Installing a TV involves several dimensions that need to be considered. Here are some of the most important dimensions to keep in mind:

Screen size: This refers to the diagonal measurement of the screen in inches. It is important to choose a screen size that is appropriate for the room where the TV will be installed. A screen that is too small may be difficult to see from a distance, while a screen that is too large may overwhelm the room.

Viewing distance: This refers to the distance between the viewer and the screen. The ideal viewing distance will depend on the size of the screen and the resolution of the TV. As a general rule, the viewer should be seated at a distance that is roughly 1.5 to 2.5 times the diagonal screen size of the TV.

Wall space: The TV will need to be mounted on a wall, so it is important to measure the available wall space to ensure that the TV will fit. Additionally, it is important to consider the height at which the TV will be mounted, as this will affect the viewing angle.

Power and cable connections: The TV will need to be connected to a power source and to any cable or satellite boxes, streaming devices, or gaming consoles. It is important to ensure that there are adequate power outlets and cable connections in the vicinity of the TV installation.

Room lighting: The lighting in the room where the TV will be installed can affect the viewing experience. It is important to consider the position of windows and lighting fixtures, and to choose a TV with appropriate brightness and contrast settings.

By considering these dimensions, you can choose a TV and a location for installation that will provide the best possible viewing experience.

Multi-channel surround sound systems are designed to provide an immersive audio experience by placing speakers around a listening area to create a three-dimensional sound environment. These systems typically include a center channel speaker for dialogue, left and right front speakers for music and sound effects, left and right surround speakers for ambient sounds, and a subwoofer for deep bass frequencies.

To install a multi-channel surround sound system, you will need to follow a few basic steps:

Choose your speakers: Select speakers that are compatible with your audio equipment and that fit within your budget. You may also need to consider the size of your room and the number of speakers you will need.

Set up your audio equipment: Connect your audio equipment to your television or media player, and configure the audio settings for your system.

Position your speakers: Place your speakers in their designated locations, following the manufacturer's instructions. This usually involves positioning the front left and right speakers at ear level and placing the center channel speaker above or below your TV. The surround speakers are typically placed behind or to the side of the listening area, and the subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room, as bass frequencies are not directional.

Calibrate your system: Most audio systems come with a calibration tool that can help you adjust the volume levels and timing of each speaker to create a balanced audio environment. Follow the instructions for your specific system to calibrate your speakers.

Once you have installed your multi-channel surround sound system, you can enjoy a more immersive audio experience while watching movies, playing games, or listening to music. It is important to note that not all media is recorded in surround sound, so some content may not utilize all of your speakers. However, when you do find content that is recorded in surround sound, the experience can be truly transformative.

Microwave ovens are a convenient and efficient way to cook or reheat food. However, like any other appliance, they can experience problems. Here are some common microwave oven problems and their fixes:

Microwave oven not working: If your microwave oven is not working, check if it's properly plugged in and the outlet is working. If the outlet is working, try unplugging the microwave and plugging it back in after a few minutes. This may reset the microwave and solve the problem. If the problem persists, it could be a faulty fuse or a problem with the door switch. In such cases, it's best to call a professional.

Microwave runs but doesn't heat: If your microwave is running but not heating, the problem could be a faulty magnetron, high voltage diode, or capacitor. These components are responsible for generating heat in the microwave. If any of these components are faulty, the microwave will run but not heat. In such cases, it's best to call a professional.

Sparks inside the microwave: Sparks inside the microwave could be caused by a number of things, such as metal objects, aluminum foil, or dishes with metallic paint. Remove any metal objects or dishes and try again. If the problem persists, there could be a problem with the waveguide cover or the magnetron. In such cases, it's best to call a professional.

Microwave makes strange noises: If your microwave is making strange noises, it could be a problem with the turntable or the drive motor. The turntable should be properly seated on the spindle, and the drive motor should be working properly. If the problem persists, it could be a problem with the fan or the magnetron. In such cases, it's best to call a professional.

Microwave door not closing properly: If your microwave door is not closing properly, it could be a problem with the door switch or the latch. The door switch should be properly aligned, and the latch should be working properly. If the problem persists, it could be a problem with the hinges or the door seal. In such cases, it's best to call a professional.

Remember, microwave ovens use high voltage and can be dangerous to work on without the proper knowledge and tools. ..

Checking a magnetron with a neon bulb can be a simple way to determine whether the magnetron is functioning or not. Here are the steps to follow:

Turn off the power supply to the microwave oven and unplug it from the electrical outlet.

Remove the outer cover of the microwave oven to expose the magnetron. The magnetron is a cylindrical component located near the center of the oven.

Find the wire that runs from the magnetron to the high voltage diode. This wire is usually a thick, red cable.

Disconnect the wire from the high voltage diode and attach it to one end of the neon bulb. Attach the other end of the bulb to the metal chassis of the microwave oven.

Plug the microwave oven back into the electrical outlet and turn it on. If the neon bulb glows brightly, it means that the magnetron is functioning properly. If the bulb does not light up or only glows dimly, it may indicate a problem with the magnetron.

Turn off the power supply to the microwave oven and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Reconnect the wire to the high voltage diode and reassemble the outer cover of the microwave oven.

Note that working with high voltage components can be dangerous and should only be done by qualified technicians. If you are not familiar with electrical work, it is best to leave this task to a professional
