A 19-year-old Palestinian woman, who was pregnant, was killed by an Israeli air strike on her house, local media report.

“Amal Al-Ajla, a pregnant Palestinian woman, was killed on the rooftop of her home in Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighbourhood. An Israeli strike hit the rooftop where she stood beside her husband, killing her instantly and leaving him critically wounded,” Palestinian journalist Wissam Nassar wrote on Instagram.

“Amal Al-Ajla, 19 years old, washed the clothes and hung them on the window of what remained of her home. Amal was nine months pregnant. Her husband was critically injured, while Amal and her unborn baby were killed. Their blood fell, leaving a farewell imprint on the clothesline,” Palestinian lawmaker Mustafa Barghouti said on X.
