Posted • Wishing you the best on this auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi. People in India start their day today by an extensive Pooja to the gods followed by an offering also called as ‘Naivedya’ or ‘Bhog’ which consists of Rice, Dal, Curry, Dry Vegetable preparation, Salad, Fritters, Papad and Sweet. This meal is designed in such a way that it provides total nutrition required by our body. This is just a basic example of the offering and will vary depending on the demographics and geographical factors. The base belief is however the same that is to bow before the Lord ‘Ganpati’ and thank him for the abundant blessing he has bestowed upon us and forgive us for our mistakes as well as giving us the opportunity to kneel before him to pray. Ganpati Bappa Morya!!!
