Happy 2026. We begin (again)!
First thank you for being here always for us. 2025 was rough for many and we are still here :) 
Perhaps someone helped you through this year? 
Take a moment to thank them - 
the friend who checked in,
the teacher who gave one good note,
the fellow actor who ran lines with you.
the ones took care of you while you struggled with bad days.

For us, it is our team. Good days, tired days, low-battery days - we show up for each other. We are lucky to have each other.

A new year isn’t a makeover or a magic trick that happens in a snap. It’s just a doorway you get to walk into. You don’t have to conquer it. It isn’t a race, or a test, or proof that you’re “ahead.”
Let’s make this the year of small wins - those things most people never clap for, but the things that actually change you.
* The page of a book before bed.
* The accent you practice while making chai.
* The riyaz you do quietly, tired but daily.
* The rest you choose when your body/mind asks.
* Your tribe who meet to learn just so you all can grow together.

Tess Joseph (CSA) is an acclaimed Casting Director who has cast for several prestigious International directors including Russo Brothers, Guy Ritchie, Wes Anderson, Mira Nair, Garth Davis, Ang Lee, Lucy Lui and Doug Liman. Tess was invited by the 2017 Academy Awards for Outstanding Contribution as a Casting Director for Best Picture Nominee LION. With a background in theatre and psychology, this allows Tess and her team to discover talent from anywhere, be it schools and colleges or non-actors from across India and internationally. At TJC, we pride ourselves in a process which is focussed on building nuanced performances in collaboration with fellow casting directors. Our team also often supports directors on sets as acting coaches when language becomes an issue.

Tess’ work as a casting director in India grew into being a first assistant director and now a producer. She ast and field produced Oscar-winner Megan Mylan’s short documentary “After My Garden Grows” and chanced on a film that truly uses the power of storytelling to transform societies – “Girl Rising.” Tess co-produced the India and Nepal stories in the film and then went on to be the on-ground lead producer working with 11 of Bollywood's biggest celebrities and re-visioning the film for India and the country’s biggest broadcaster Star TV.
