UWC Mahindra College has outshined at MU20 once again!
26 students from UWC Mahindra College participated in the Oxford MUN and Harvard Sustainability Impact Summit in the beginning of August, at FLAME University in Pune. In this 3-day conference, students engaged with global issues, UN Sustainable Development Goals, and diplomacy. The students stepped into the role as diplomats involved in collaboration, debate, public speaking, research, and intercultural exposure.
In the Oxford MUN the focus was on resolving problems, representing different allocated nations. It involved deep research about the country, representing and committing to the country’s position. Lunch breaks, early morning and late nights were utilized for not only socializing but also diplomatic discussion and agreements.
In the Harvard Sustainability Impact Summit, students looked through the lens of the UN and UWC values, exploring the usage of education as a force to unite nations. Furthermore, the conference hosted students from multiple countries, enabling them to recognize and celebrate differences, and to develop a sense of idealism.
