I’ve always been someone who notices quietly and holds onto moments. I’m drawn to people and the small, in-between details that often go unnoticed. There’s comfort in observing without interrupting, in letting moments unfold as they are. That instinct to pause and hold onto feelings without needing to explain them eventually found its way into my life through photography.

It began as an instinct long before it became a habit, a quiet urge to capture moments that felt important, even when I couldn’t fully articulate why. Over time, the camera became my pause button, a way to slow down in a world that constantly demands attention. It taught me patience: to wait for the right light, a fleeting expression, or an emotion to reveal itself naturally.

There’s a personal side to how I approach photography. I often take pictures simply because a moment feels meaningful, not to post or share, but just to keep. My phone holds small pieces of everyday life moments I return to for comfort. Revisiting them brings warmth and reassurance, reminding me of connections and experiences that have quietly shaped who I am.

I don’t photograph to collect images, but to remember what mattered. It allows moments to stay unposed, unspoken, and honest. Through it, I’ve learned to trust stillness and find meaning in what lingers.

Reputation isn’t built overnight and it’s rarely shaped by intention alone.

The Reputation Game by David Waller and Rupert Younger, explores how reputations are formed, influenced and changed through behaviour, consistency and credibility. Using real-world cases, it deep dives as to why perception is shaped as much by what you do as by what you say.

A thoughtful read for leaders and communicators shaping long-term trust.

As the year closes, it’s worth asking not what gained attention but what built trust.
