Need to learn new style of shooting wedding video

The technology is changing and progressing very fast. So if some one wants to earn more in wedding video, he has to do really good work using latest techniques and ideas, to become one of the leader in this field.

These days, the latest and new trend to shoot weddings using multiple dslrs has become very popular world wide. The young generartion is willing to pay more for this new style.

For this, one has to understand few basic things and learn how and when to use which lenses and other accessories.
Any indian wedding is an uncontrolled event for the videographer and because of this, very good footage of the wedding on dslr is the most important thing and is not at all easy. Hence the workshop deals with only shooting part of weddings on dslr . No editing will be discussed, since a creative editor will do a good job, only if he has good footage !!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1)Why do I need this one day workshop when there are full courses on moviemaking?
ANS. This is a workshop restricted to video shooting in weddings only & will explain how to shoot any Indian wedding in impressive style without any re takes possible or with almost no control on any of the important aspects like lighting, venue, sitting arrangements and movement of people.

2) Are we going to see & learn in actual real wedding or it is just by seeing some clips?
ANS. Actual wedding like set up will be created for this one day workshop. At the same time it must be understood that real wedding can be created by film makers only for shooting film.

3) I feel the cost of the one day workshop is very high.
ANS. Your entire fee will be recovered before you actually shoot any wedding, just by making any one of the accessory on your own, that will be shown at the workshop.

4) Will I get to shoot on a DSLR ?
ANS. Yes, I will provide both Canon & Nikon with a few lenses that are normally used in weddings. Also the number of participants will not be more than fifteen.

5) Can I bring my Camera ?
ANS. Not allowed for workshop.

6) Can I take the footage with me that I have shot in the workshop ?
ANS. No, again not allowed. You may do it in any of your friend or relative's wedding.

7) Will I learn editing, story writing or any other aspects of filming ?
ANS. No, this one day workshop deals only with "shooting" part on DSLR in weddings. Once you have good footage, any good editor can use his creativity and give good output.

8) I want know the experience of Milind A. Ketkar in shooting weddings on DSLR.
ANS. I have been shooting video in this style for about 3 years and all the clients have liked the style. I started as a still photographer. Visit www.milindketkar.com to see some of the short video shot be me & my team.

9) Do I need to have experience in shooting video in weddings?
ANS. Yes, it will help understanding the problems in shooting video and solutions to these. Knowledge of Basic things like shutter, aperture, white balance, depth of field will help understanding the explanation.

10) Will I get any Certificate ?
ANS. No certificate will be given, since for getting an assignment of wedding video, a good experience & sample of your work is needed, no one will ask for certificate.

Payment for Workshop:

Full payment of Rs. 15,000/-(Indian Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) per person is required at time of booking.
Cancellation

On cancellations up to 30 days prior to workshop date, Rs.10,000/- will be refunded.

Less than 30 days but at least 10 days prior, 50% will be refunded.

Less than 10 days prior to workshop, no refund will be possible.

Communication by email is acceptable. In the unlikely event we have to cancel a workshop, a full refund will be given.

Responsibility
I will not be responsible for any loss, damage, theft, or injury to any participant. All equipment provided should be used carefully.

How to shoot weddings more effectively on multiple DSLR's

One day workshop dealing with shooting only

1) First half day will be showing some clips shot in weddings with discussion on "why & how" to shoot on dslr. Real wedding like set up created for the worshop in later half day of the workshop.

2) How to use multiple dslrs with different lenses & accessories will be actually demonstrated.

3) No need to bring any dslr for workshop, it will be provided with lenses.

4) Limited number of participants.

5) Some easy to make accessories will be shown and explained so that one can save spending big amounts to start with.

6) Each participant will get to use the accessories and shoot on dslrs.

7) With some more practice it will be easy to start doing wedding assignments.
