MUMBAI POLICE-
Are we really moving towards Digital India??
I respect and admire their work towadrs nations security.
One of the employee Mr. Raj who has cleared his driving licence test and issued driving licence number. He has been issued Ereceipt which bears licence number. He also received number via SMS.
He was stopped for routin verification By a police VAN near tolani college(Andheri east). He produced all d papers which were in order.
He has not received licence card yet. He was not carrying recipt but confirmation message was there in mobile.
He went and downloaded the receipt from net which bears licence number.
Seeing this receipt verification officer said it's learning licence and some one should sit behind you with proper licence. It took a while to convince him tht it's not a learning licence. Learning licence was submitted in rto and they have issued licence number.
Now d irony is police says this not proper and they require rubber stamp on it.
I went and asked them if person forgets licence in emergency can't tht be considered if he shows evidence tht he has proper licence. Mr. Shinde an office tells me tht he either requires stamp on receipt or licence in card format. He further says you can go and ask court if RTO does not give stamp on it then wat we can do.
Raj finally paid fine of 210(he issued receipt of 200 only) for not carrying licence.
Issue is not about fine.
Issue is attitude and behaviour of law administrators.
Issue is clarity of law among law administrators.
Issue is are we really no using towards Digital India??
As a citizen if one is unaware of law then law administrators need to help him to understand rather then saying I am not bound to answer you.

*Welcome Notification From ICAI for Condonation of Breach of Regulation 65 & 78 - Non submission of Form 112*

Students having pursued additional / other course of study along with articleship through correspondence mode of study or by attending regular classes provided there was no clash/overlapping between working hours of Principal’s office and the College timings by taking a liberal view of the lapse on the part of the students concerned as an amnesty measure on payment of Rs. 5,000/- as condonation fee. *This concession will be available for a period of nine months* from the date of issue of this announcement.

Students / articled assistants who have not yet taken permission for pursuing a course of study – whether academic or professional – along with articleship are advised, in their own interest, to seek ex-post facto permission of the Council by submitting Form 112 along with payment of Rs. 5,000/- as condonation fee.

1. Govt withdrawns 500 n 1000 notes frm today midnight..
2. Govt. Hospitals n air carriers will accept 500 n 1000 notes till 11th Nov..
3. 500 1000 notes can be deposited in bank till 30th Nov..
4. ATMs will nt work on 9th n 10th Nov..
5. Initially limit of only 2000rs. Set to withdraw money frm ATM, post 11th..
6. Banks will remain closed on 9th..

Please do the needful asap..

General Knowledge about Internet Website Names and Phishing

1. Before checking name of any website, first look for the domain extension i.e .com, .org, .co.in, .net, .in etc.
The name just before extension is the DOMAIN NAME of the website.
Eg: www.domainname.com

E.g., in http://amazon.diwali-festivals.com, the word before .com is "diwali-festivals" (and NOT "amazon").
AMAZON word is seperated with ( . ) dot So, this webpage does _not_ belong to amazon.com, but it belongs to "diwali-festivals.com", which most of us haven't heard of before.

You can similarly check for fraudulent (so-called) banking websites.
Before your e-banking login, make sure that the name just before ".com" is the name of your bank.

Eg:
"something.icicibank.com" belongs to ICICI, but "icicibank.something.com" belongs to something and not icicibank.
"icicibank.com.nu" belongs to "com"!

2. There can also be a typo in domain done purposly to confuse user to do phishing. Eg: www.icicibankk.com or lcicibank.com does not relates to icicibank.com

3. Nowdays you may have also seen various spam messages forwarded by users claiming to get free mobile or mobile phone at Rs.250/- or Free Talktime etc.

Before attempting to forward such messages, always check for domain name and website. Inputing data and doing some task as said on their website may result in your smartphone infected by some malware. There are several scripts present on such website which may be executed. So Beware and dont fall in such trap. There is nothing FREE in this world.

4. Also please check before downloading apk or android apps for smartphone. http://play-google.com/store/apps/com.ife.google
Does not belongs to Google, it belongs to googleplay.com which is not owned by Google.
But http://play.google.com/store/apps/com.ife.google belongs to Google.
