DVAT updates: Instruction for framing default assessment orders

In Delhi VAT, Detailed instructions/clarifications have been issued on framing of assessment under Central Sales Tax Act, 1956 vide Circular No. 13 of 2007-08 dated 30.01.2008, Circular No. 15 of 2006-07 dated 30.03.2007 and Circular No. 2 of 2011-12 dated 09.06.2011 so that uniform procedure is adopted by all Assessing Authorities while framing such assessments.

GAAR to be effective from Assessment year 2014-15:

General Anti-Avoidance Rules The GAAR (General Anti-Avoidance Rule) provisions have not been put on hold. The Finance Act, 2012 had provided that these provisions shall be effective from the 1st day of April, 2014 and apply to Assessment year 2014-15 onwards.

Income Tax E-filing website to remain closed from 3rd to 8th November, 2012-

The current e-filing website is being revamped to a new e-filing website with additional services. The current web services will remain closed with effect from 3rd November to 8th November, 2012. The web services will resume from 9th November, 2012.
