Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) have become mandatory for certain non-banking finance companies (NBFCs) effective April 1, 2018, with the first quarter reporting out for some. This puts to rest the speculation that the transition to Ind AS for NBFCs may get postponed. Transition to Ind AS, while primarily being an accounting change, is expected to have a profound impact on the business of NBFCs
