Hand-painted on pure Dupion silk. Comes with matching blouse piece. Total length 6.3 Mt.

The Raja festival of Odisha is unique in its own way. It is a festival of mother-earth. During Raja, the farmers pay respect to mother-earth by halting all agricultural activities and letting the earth rest.
Traditionally, young girls and womenfolk take rest in these days along with mother-earth, which is symbolic. It’s time for their relaxation and celebrations. It’s all about acknowledging, respecting and celebrating motherhood.
Like every other Indian festival, Raja celebration is also marked with new clothes and delicious food. The other unique feature of this festival is the sight of young girls swinging on the swings from Mango or Banyan trees.
