FB 80 Should we vote for BJP or CONGRESS ?
To answer that question, it is necessary to know a little background of both the parties.
let's consider some points providing short glimpse of the parties.
Indian national congress (INC or congress) -
Grand old party governed by Gandhis.
Ruled for almost 60 years.
Leftist ideology.
Projected as pro-poor, pro-farmer, secular and risk averting party.
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) -
Formed as an alternative to congress.
Ruled 6 years under leadership of former PM Atal bihari vajpayee.
Current ruling party under leadership of PM Narendra Modi.
Mentored by RSS.
Right win ideology.
Projected as pro-hindu, pro-corporate party.
Now, to choose one over another we must look at the work done by their respective governments.
*Atal bihari vajpayee led NDA -
Pokhran nuclear test
Proposed linkage of rivers to avert flood and drought crises.
Attempts to find solution to kashmir problem.
Attempts to revive indo-pak relations and talks.
Development of golden quadrilateral highway linking four major metros.
Prevention of Terrorism Activities Act (POTA)
Response to Indian Airlines hijack after due consultation by all parties.
Kargil war
*Manmohan singh led UPA -
National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA)
Right to information
Setup of Aadhar scheme
Indo-Us nuclear deal
Bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh
2G scam
Coal Scam
Poor economic growth under UPA-2
CWG scam
Distrust between army and government. (General V K Singh controversy)
Due to misrule of UPA and their lack of decision making power, India continued to struggle and was not able to match the pace at which world is growing.
Even after ruling the country for most of the time, congress failed to resolve border disputes, corruption problems and poverty. it was also unable to build India's image at global platform.
Congress government always tried to be a populist govt and therefore avoided taking any risky or political incorrect decisions in national interest.
It never touched sensitive issues like that of kashmir and tried maintaining status quo.
Their politics is to keep the problem alive and gather votes by fooling people. take the example of poverty. their leader says that poverty is a state of mind.
For the congress family comes first party second and then nation.
Plays communal and caste card in every incident and then blames bjp for aftermath.
This party seriously degraded the honour of Prime Minister's post.
On the other hand there is BJP.
It has always tried to resolve key issues. take kashmir for example, any attempt for talks or development is initiated by them.
They don't form populist governments and runs on nation first policy. nationalism is their priority although they sometimes overdo it.
Follows hindutva for which they are called communal. however, the definition of hindutva is different for them and congress. For BJP, hindutva means to unite everyone and live in peace. to work for welfare of people and society as a whole while for congress, hindutva is pampering hindus and ignoring all other religions.
This party believes in action whether politically correct or incorrect but in the interest of nation. this is the reason they are often criticised as some of the actions are not short term beneficial but are helpful in long term.
One thing that is common between all BJP ruled states or central govt is that they have a vision and an action plan which clearly lacks in congress leadership as they take short term result oriented approach often leading to chaos in future.
*Now, let's have a look at work of Narendra Modi led NDA govt in approx 2 years -
Jan dhan scheme to open accounts at zero balance.
Pradhan mantri fasal bima yojna for welfare of farmers.
Bullet train project.
Significant increase in FDI.
Nuclear deals with different nations and many other bilateral deals.
Solution of long withstanding Indo-bangladesh border dispute.
Image building of India at global platform.
Keeping fiscal deficit to 3.5%
Significant decrease in ceasefire violation as free hand to army is given to deal such threats.
Relief and rescue operations overseas including nepal.
Startup India standup india to promote entrepreneurship.
Swachh bharat abhiyan to promote cleanliness.
Focus on tax reforms. ex- GST
Clearance of long pending government projects.
Focus in development of eastern parts of India.
MEA interacting with NRIs in distress by connecting via twitter and then extending help.
Railway addressing grievances received via twitter.
PM's interaction with people through Mygov portal or Narendra Modi app
Addressing nation time to time through mann ki baat.
Strong hold on bureaucrats by making them work harder.
It's clear how active the current government is and how much serious effort is being put to take the nation forward.
Taking all the above mentioned points and details, i strongly feel that BJP is anyday better than Congress.
