ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ, 13/2/2025: ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜರ್ ಎಂ. ಕಾಳಪ್ಪ (72) ಅವರು ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಗೆ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿ ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಶ್ಲಾಘನೀಯ.

ಗುಳಿಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ **ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜರ್ ಆಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ** ಕಾಳಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಶಿಸ್ತು, ದಯೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಚಿಂತನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರದ ಕೆಎಚ್‌ಬಿ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ, ಸಮುದಾಯ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವರೀತಿಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.

ತಾವು ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಬಳಿಕವೂ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿತಕರ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಅವರ ನಿಲುವು ಶರೀರದಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದೆ. ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರದಿಂದ ಅವರ ಪರೋಪಕಾರಿ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಗೋಚರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಂದ, ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯದಿಂದ ಗೌರವಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಎಂ. ಕಾಳಪ್ಪ ಅವರ ಅಂತಿಮ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಶರೀರದಾನ ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಶರೀರ ದಾನ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿ, ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಲಿದೆ.

ಅವರ ಔದಾರ್ಯ ಕೇವಲ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ವೈದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯಲಿದೆ.

Mysuru woke up to tragic news as rescue teams retrieved the body of 32-year-old Saddam, a construction worker trapped under the debris of the collapsed Maharani’s Science College building. The 108-year-old structure, already marked for demolition, partially gave way on January 28, 2025, while workers were preparing the site.

While 13 workers managed to escape, Saddam, a resident of Ghousia Nagar, was buried under the rubble. Despite relentless efforts by fire and emergency services, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), and police, his body was recovered in the early hours of January 29.

Authorities had declared the building unsafe after a portion of the science laboratory collapsed in 2022. The Karnataka government had sanctioned funds for reconstruction, and work had just begun when tragedy struck. A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway.

🔴 Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased. This incident raises serious questions about safety measures at demolition sites.
