The motivatioin to start it as a consortium was the belieft that rural women can transform their family and village, when we support them with management and technology skills. We started it with low cost - craft making that could leverage income generation and wealth creation in our Rural Villages. We decided to go with the name 'MY VILLAGE', as everyone at some point of time, wish to get back to

his basics and want to do something for his/her won village, where he comes from. And believe it or not, the same kind of urgency is felt by many one like you, to address various issues related to women equality and empowerment to eradicate poverty in our Villages.
