मागच्या आठवड्यात मला व्यवसायातील एक महत्त्वाचा धडा कोणत्याही मोठ्या कंपनीत किंवा बोर्डरूममध्ये नाही, तर त्र्यंबकेश्वरच्या प्रवेशद्वाराजवळ असलेल्या एका छोट्या हॉटेलमध्ये शिकायला मिळाला.

अलीकडे माझ्या मेहुण्याच्या हॉटेलला (भगवती )भेट दिली. व्यवसाय सल्लागार असल्यामुळे कुठेही गेलो तरी व्यवसायाकडे वेगळ्या नजरेने पाहण्याची सवय आहे.

त्यांच्या हॉटेलमध्ये फक्त चारच पदार्थ मिळतात:

☕ चहा
🥔 बटाटा वडा
🌶️ मिसळ
🍔 वडा पाव

बस्स!

ना मोठा मेन्यू, ना आकर्षक इंटेरिअर, ना महागडी सजावट.

कारण त्यांना वर्षानुवर्षांच्या अनुभवातून एक गोष्ट समजली आहे
"ग्राहकाला खरंच काय हवं आहे?"

त्र्यंबकेश्वरला येणारे बहुतांश भाविक दर्शनासाठी येतात. त्यांना आलिशान हॉटेलपेक्षा महत्त्वाचं वाटतं:

त्यामुळे त्यांनी सजावटीपेक्षा या गोष्टींवर भर दिला.

गप्पांमध्ये त्यांनी एक निरीक्षण सांगितलं. अनेक नवीन हॉटेल्स लाखो रुपये इंटेरिअर, फर्निचर आणि सजावटीवर खर्च करतात. पण अनेकदा ती रिकामी दिसतात.

कारण ग्राहकांना वाटतं "इथे दर खूप जास्त असतील."

म्हणजेच मालकाने स्वतःला काय आवडतं यावर व्यवसाय उभारला; ग्राहकाला काय हवं आहे यावर नाही.

उत्पादन, सेवा किंवा सुविधा डिझाइन करण्यापूर्वी आपण स्वतःला एक प्रश्न विचारायला हवा:

"आपला ग्राहक नक्की कोण आहे आणि तो आपल्याकडे का येतो आहे?"

याच उत्तरात व्यवसायाच्या वाढीचं रहस्य दडलं आहे.

कधी कधी यश हे अधिक गोष्टी जोडण्यात नसतं; तर ग्राहकासाठी महत्त्वाच्या नसलेल्या गोष्टी काढून टाकण्यात असतं.

"तुमच्या अनुभवात असा एखादा साधा व्यवसाय पाहिला आहे का, जो ग्राहकांना अचूक समजून घेतल्यामुळे मोठ्या आणि आकर्षक व्यवसायांपेक्षा जास्त यशस्वी झाला? तुमचे विचार कमेंटमध्ये जरूर सांगा."
