Job Description:
1. Ability to read engineering drawings.
2. Welding procedures for carbon steel, stainless steel.
3. Sheet metal process on bending machines & power presses.
4. Metal finishing & surface treatment procedures.
5. Ability to lead and work in a team of operators & engineers.
6. Able to handle & use measuring instruments such as Vernier calliper, micrometre,
height gauge etc.
7. Ability to work with own hands, as and when required
8. Well versed with AutoCAD, solid works and use of computer, laptop. Knowledge of
MS Office.
9. Able to communicate in English-Verbal & written
10. Coordinate and communication with local and international suppliers / buyers

1. Inspection of raw materials, components, consumables using drawings and specifications.
2. In process inspection of jobs during laser cutting, bending, fabrication, paining, powder coating etc.
3. Preparing inspection reports.
4. Receiving, analysing and responding to customer complaints.
5. Participate in cause analysis and determination of corrective action plan in case of rejection of a product by customer or rejection during in-process inspection.
6. Participate in preparing quality plans.
7. Participate in new product development activities.

1. Receiving and processing purchase requisitions received from manufacturing units, stores, sales.
2. Inviting quotations from prospective suppliers.
3. Comparison of competitive quotes to take a buying decision.
4. Leading a team of purchase engineers and executives. Assigning them work and monitor the same.
5. Maintain records of good ordered and received.
6. Initiating, negotiating and finalising contracts for raw materials, transportation of goods to port of exports form manufacturing units, shipping contracts for export of goods.
7. Liaison, coordination, communication with manufacturing units for flow of information.
8. Identify and develop new sources with objective to reduce cost, improve quality, reduce delivery lead time, and to get better commercial terms.
9. Periodical assessment of existing vendors and suppliers.
10. Preparing budgets for purchasing department. Controlling and monitoring it.
11. Interview and hire staff.
12. Develop and implement contracts management instructions, policies and procedures.
13. Participate in development of specifications for products, materials, equipment and substitute materials.
14. Resolve grievance of suppliers and contractors. Settle claims with suppliers and contractors.
15. Prepare reports regarding cost reductions initiatives, market conditions and merchandise costs.
16. Help management disposing off the surplus material, scrap, rejects etc.
