This has lead to a surge in the tea prices up to 35% - 40% all at once. In order that it doesn't affect your pockets, we are hiking the prices as little as possible. Erratic power supply was posing a "serious challenge" to the tea industry in Assam's Barak Valley which has reported crop loss to the tune of approximately 5.5 million kg during the period March to June this year, the Tea Association of India (TAI) said.

Green Tea against COVID-19:
Polyphenols, potent plant antioxidants, are what's believed to give green tea its immune-boosting effects. A study suggested that a particular type of polyphenols called catechins may kill influenza viruses. To maximize benefits and minimize bitterness, use just-below-boiling water and steep green tea no more than a minute or two. A little lemon and honey can also help blunt the bitterness. But don't add milk, because the proteins will bind to the polyphenols, making them ineffective.

Peach Iced Tea

Recipe:

Ingredients:

1. 3 peaches, sliced peel of 1 orange, peeled into large slices*
2. 3 sprigs of mint
3. 2–5 tsp sugar or honey
4. 4-5g or 2 teaspoon loose leaf Jayant Premium Tea
5. 1-litre water

Method:

1. Bring water to boil, turn off the heat after small bubbles start to appear.
2. Add tea and cover the vessel for 4-5 minutes.
3. Strain the tea and add sugar/ honey.
4. Now add the peaches to the bottom of a pitcher and muddle with a wooden spoon just enough to smash them.
5. Add the slices of orange zest, mint, tea and mix until combined.
6. Cover and place in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
7. Serve over ice.

Note:
Use a vegetable peeler to make slices of the orange peel.
