| In Niwari, Bundelkhand, access to safe drinking water required more than infrastructure, it demanded stronger systems, coordination, and community ownership.
Through the Resource Access and Equity (RAE) initiative, Development Alternatives and its partners improved water access for nearly 8,476 households while strengthening local water governance through the District Water Coalition. By bringing together government departments, local institutions, and communities, the initiative laid the foundation for more equitable and sustainable water security.
