HAPPY NEW YEAR - MY INTENTION & WISH

I know a few people who believe that what they observe and interpret is the truth.

And if, in their way of thinking, someone is violating that truth, they believe that they have been given a license to call that out directly, maybe even rudely, out of a sense of righteousness, to that person.

They believe that, unless they do so, the other person will not know or will not learn their lesson.

They are consumed with the desire to correct this anomaly in the world, in the people of this world.

I have been one such person, harboring such a misconception.

I have learnt the hard way, through multiple knocks and loss of relationships, that this is one of the biggest misconceptions we can carry.

This new year, I consecrate the righteous me to the divine. I seek to be more gentle and compassionate in my expression, if i encounter such a situation. I don't need to stop making an effort to correct what I may consider to be wrong, unfair or unjust. But I need to first make a lot more effort to deeply understand, empathise and only then jump in with my bit.

I believe that, in doing so, I will significantly diffuse the burning capability of the energetic charge that my intervention carries. And hopefully pass through the 3 gates of speech of, "Is it true, is it necessary, is it kind?"

If you identify with this state of being, introspect. If you have been a victim of such indiscretion on my part, then please forgive.

This is how I would like to leap into 2024.

Had the privilege of being associated with the vision and values building workshop with the leadership team of the school in 2014-15. The video brought back the wonderful memories. Thank you Jyoti Agarwal for sharing it

Had a wonderful 3-day retreat with the apex leadership team of a reputed realty company to help them renew their vision, mission, values, leadership competencies and agreements that will enable them to not just enable success but also build an endearing an enduring institution.
The Leadership Development Academy of L&T at Lonavala is an excellent facility for such retreats with a professional team that has a high service service attitude. The group companies and other reputed organizations conduct workshops and retreats in this location.
Felt like a mother hen who has laid lot of eggs, at the end of the retreat....tired but happy :).

We completed 4 years yesterday. It has been a fulfilling journey.
The focus of our work has been two fold:

1. To spread a sense of happiness and well being in organizations. We have covered over 2500 people in different organizations with programs from Nithya Shanti, an inspirational teacher.

2. To work with promoter CEOs of companies and help them to define, align and deploy their purposeful vision and long term institution building strategies in the areas of leadership, values & culture and management systems.

It has been a joyful journey.

A wonderful experience. Seeing this movement thrive and flourish and will look back fondly at the seeds that got sown this day. Wonderful to see many Chittasanghis NilimaBhat Renuka Taneja Gagan Adlakha Shubhro Sen Nithya Shanti and I coming together yet again, thanks to the pioneering effort of MaruttBhardwaj and Bhaskar Rao who organised this event.
Ably supported by well wishers AlkaVyas Ketaki Rohtash Mal Deepa Sethi Reema Bose Suri Namrataa Arora Singh Gauri Sarin Murlee Dhar Shyamm Kishore Chainani who actively participated to make this a successful beginning of the movement in India.

An amazing 2 days of learning, sharing and connecting at the Mindful Leadership Summit. Fortunate to be a partner for the event and for getting to hear some great speakers and talks.
