The Firm was established by SK Das in 1987 when he left his teaching and global consultancy position at the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS), Rotterdam to return to India and establish a cutting edge practice that is at the forefront of Urban Design and Architecture. Our work is a reflection of our commitment to innovation, sensitivity to the community and a deep understan

ding of the social context. We question- listen-brainstorm and define our objectives – WE THEN DESIGN. A great attention to detail, meticulous documentation and respect for our Clients’ vision, budget and schedule define our work culture. We address challenges from multiple perspectives – we evaluate what the end user will experience and how our work would fit into the larger urban context. Our works are inspired by the city and urbanism and promote an aesthetic that represents the cultural diversity of the community.

A case of adaptive building-use to host art & music studios that over time may ultimately graduate into an art & design school. Currently conceived as a credit based intersectoral programme of art & music open to subscribing students across social sciences, sciences and technology.

With the addition of a steel frame structural system within the original RCC structure with mutual respect and clarity of the resultant 'composite', it reflects openness, fluidity and reminiscent of urban space threaded together along city streets. An urban collage of event spaces.
