Knowing a technique is one thing. Doing it - confidently, correctly - is another.
That's exactly the gap our Glow with the FISH Flow workshop set out to close.

Over 3 days, an intensive hands-on FISH workshop in our DSS R&D centre in New Delhi, participants worked through the full FISH workflow: wet lab protocols, microscope handling, clinical correlation, and interpretation analysis. Not as observers - as practitioners.

Fluorescence in situ Hybridization is a cornerstone of modern cytogenetic diagnostics. And as the field advances, the demand for trained, hands-on professionals will only grow.

Dr ATREYEE DUTTA is an experienced Medical Genetics and Cytogenetics professional with over 14 years of expertise in clinical diagnostics, haematological cytogenetics, prenatal genetics, and molecular diagnostics. She is currently serving as the Head of Department (Genetics) at Nirnayan Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, and is an NABL-authorised signatory with extensive experience in laboratory quality management, karyotyping, FISH, and cancer cytogenetics.

She holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the University of Calcutta and has contributed to more than 20 national and international peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Dutta has also received multiple awards for oral and poster presentations and has undergone advanced training in Cytogenetics, FISH, Microarray, Prenatal Genetics, and Cancer Cytogenetics from leading institutes, including Tata Medical Center, SGPGIMS, and Medanta - The Medicity

DSS is proud to be associated with the specialized Hands-on Training Workshop on Advanced Fluorescence Microscopy Techniques & Image Analysis, organized by the Department of Biotechnology at Indian Institute of Technology Madras and the DST-FIST Advanced Bioimaging Facility, in collaboration with the India BioImaging Consortium, held from May 18-20, 2026.

Evident Imaging Senior Expert Dr. Ganesh Kadasoor and our imaging expert Shiva Prasad, delivered sessions on the fundamentals of Widefield, Confocal, FRAP, and FRET microscopy techniques to a close-knit community of researchers and professionals from academia and industry working across biosciences, bioengineering, biomedical & medical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, and allied fields.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the organizing team, especially Dr. Shantanu Pradhan, for their support and efforts in making the workshop a success.

The workshop served as an excellent forum for knowledge exchange, hands-on learning, and advancing imaging expertise for next-generation research applications.
