Tip Of The Day: Learn how to listen

A basic component of successful small talk is knowing how to listen. Non-verbal communication accounts for over 60% of our first impression, so it’s important to make it count. Ask open-ended questions, lean toward the speaker slightly. When you listen instead of talk, you learn more about the interests and needs of the other person – which can lead to one highly productive conversation.

Tip Of The Day: Handshake
Give a firm handshake when you meet someone and greet him with a title. You can give your first name, but never use his first name until he offers it. When he does give his first name, remember it, because remembering a name is a subtle sign of respect. During conversation, avoid sensitive topics, such as money, religion and politics. Be mindful of any poor habits, like chewing gum during a conversation and drinking and chewing while trying to talk. Take small bites during conversation and do not eat or drink at all if talking in a phone conference.

Tip Of The Day:
Dress with respect.
Be clean and presentable each and every day. Follow the office dress code at a minimum—and don’t be the guy who constantly toes the line. Of course it’s fine to dress a cut above everyone else, but just a cut. Dressing up far beyond the standard sported by everyone else will come off as putting on airs.

On another style note, while you might take off your jacket and roll up your sleeves during the day, when there are visitors present in the office or you’re receiving callers, put your jacket back on and present a professional appearance that reflects well on your company.

Tip Of The Day:
"Proper e-mail etiquette not only demands constant awareness of what we type but how our words could be perceived"

Follow our e-mail etiquette tips to impress your colleagues and business partners:

■Don't forward chain e-mails or jokes to coworkers
■Don't write anything you would not say in person
■Don't assume that you can share some private moments with family and friends when sending e-mail from your work
■Don't forget proper salutations and sign-offs
■Don't ever send an apology via email -- write a handwritten card and send it by mail
■Don't forget that every e-mail is your digital footprint
■Reply to all e-mails within 24-48 hours after first receiving a message
■Don't send employment contracts via e-mail
■Use proper grammar and punctuation in every message you send

Tip Of The Day:
Table manners still matter. Many business deals are made over a dining table. For example, according to Leadership & Etiquette Dynamics, 49 percent of CFOs report that they conducted their best meetings in a restaurant over a meal. Being able to confidently face a business dinner in any setting helps participants create a good impression of themselves and their company. Dining etiquette can get confusing when trying to figure out which is the soup bowl and which is the finger bowl. Consider providing an actual formal dinner with multiple courses in your seminar to add fun to the workshop while providing essential business etiquette training.

Tip Of The Day:
People need their space. That's just human nature. In the gym, however, it's more than human nature, it's a matter of preventing injury, proper form, and pi***ng people off. Some gyms are near empty. Others are so crowded you can barely walk. But guess what? You can always find room to bust out your set of squats without intruding into someone else's space.

If you or somebody else is too close to another, you/they risk injury (other's weights hitting them, or vice-versa), not executing proper form to avoid hurting someone else, and pi***ng someone else off because they are now not getting as much out of their workout as possible, and because they are probably feeling a bit uncomfortable.

Tip of the day:
Beans, legumes, and nuts. All varieties of beans are good sources of protein and low in saturated fats, Schmitt says. Chickpeas, or garbanzo beans, taste delicious on salads or in hummus, a low-fat dip. Spicy vegetarian chili recipes can be a flavorful alternative to traditional chili. Legumes such as dried peas and lentils can also be used in chili and stews. And nuts, when eaten in moderation, are another good source of protein that is not high in fat.

Tip of the day:
Face mask for dry skin! Mash avocado and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix well and apply on face and neck. Leave in for 10 minutes and rinse. This mask will nourish the skin and rehydrate it! Enjoy the natural products nature gives us for beauty! It's that simple!

Tip of the day:
If you aren't doing rotator cuff exercises, you are sacrificing large amounts of weight on your bench press, because the rotator cuff is one of the prime stabilizer of the movement, allowing you to move more weight. The other reason is that you are going to blow your shoulder doing heavy benches to gain size, but the injury will put you out for up to 6 months or even more. Rotator cuff excercises aren't difficult and are not time confusing...Definitely worth it! (muscle loss after a rotator cuff injury is significant!)

Tip of the day:
Simply Skipping meals is not a good way to lose weight because you'll simply overeat at the next meal since your body is deprived and needs fuel.
In addition you will feel tired since your body is deprived from fuel for your body's daily functions,
To Lose weight eat at 3 small meals per day, with 2 healthy snacks, watch out your caloric intake, choose foods and snacks that are low in calories, saturated fats and trans fats, engage in daily physical activities, stop smoking, drink alcohol moderately or even stop it!

Tip of the day:
The most important tip to prevent sun damage is to wear a UVA/UVB sunblock with an SPF of 30 every single day. UVB are the sun’s burning rays, which are strongest in the summer months. During these months it is advisable to wear the highest possible number SPF since SPF is protection against UVB rays. UVA on the other hand doesn’t change with the seasons and it remains constant year round. That is why daily UVA/UVB protection is essential for preventing sun damage.

During the summer months be sure to apply a high SPF UVA/UVB sunblock twenty minutes before going outdoors; it takes that long for the sunblock to truly be protective. It is also essential to reapply sunblock throughout the day every 90 minutes; a spray makes application simple and less cumbersome, especially on the beach.

I advise my women patients to wear a good mineral make-up. Most mineral make-up is free of preservatives making them potentially less irritating for patients with sensitive skin. In addition, mineral make-up generally has an SPF of 15 or 20 depending on the brand and blocks both UVA and UVB. Mineral make-up is easy to apply and can be touched up throughout the day.
