PLASTIC NOTES IN INDIA COMING SOON:
The government recently approved the Reserve Bank of India to test new polymer notes in the ₹10 and ₹20 denominations. The pilot project includes issuing one billion pieces of each denomination for field trials, though existing paper currency will not be replaced.
Trial Details:

Denominations: ₹10 and ₹20 polymer plastic notes
Quantity: One billion pieces for each value
Goal: Test durability and performance in local weather and usage conditions
Key Facts:

No Replacement: Existing paper banknotes remain fully valid legal tender.

Durability: Polymer material lasts two to six times longer than standard paper.

Dixon Technologies and HKC Corporation Joint Venture
- *Joint Venture Purpose*: Manufacturing of Liquid Crystal Modules (LCM), thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) modules, assembly of end products like smartphones, TVs, monitors, auto displays.
- *Selling HKC Branded Products*: The JV will sell HKC branded end products in India.
- *Partnership Details from Image*: Dixon Technologies (India) has partnered with HKC Overseas for a ₹370 crore JV to manufacture LCD and TFT-LCD modules. HKC Overseas will have a 26% stake, and Dixon will hold 74%.

As of July 2022, India has 21,715 kilometers of operational natural gas pipelines, and 13,605 kilometers under construction. The government plans to add 15,500 kilometers of pipelines to complete the National Gas Grid, which will make natural gas available across the country. The expansion of pipeline infrastructure is based on gas demand assessment of different regions.
