Khatu Shyam Ji is believed to be the incarnation of Barbarika, the grandson of Bhima from the great epic Mahabharata. Barbarika was a mighty warrior blessed with three powerful arrows that could end any battle in moments.

Before the Kurukshetra war, Lord Krishna tested his devotion and intentions. When Barbarika promised to support the weaker side, Krishna realized that this could lead to the destruction of both armies. To preserve Dharma, Krishna asked for his head as a sacrifice. Without hesitation, Barbarika offered it — the ultimate act of devotion.

Pleased with his sacrifice, Lord Krishna granted him a boon:
👉 In Kaliyuga, he would be worshipped as Shyam, the one who fulfills the wishes of his devotees.

The divine grace of Salasar Balaji 🙏✨

Salasar Balaji is one of the most revered forms of Hanuman, worshipped with deep faith and devotion. Located in Salasar, this sacred temple has a unique and powerful history.

It is believed that the idol of Balaji was miraculously discovered in a farmer’s field in the village of Asota. On the same night, the local ruler of Salasar had a divine dream instructing him to bring the idol to Salasar and establish it there. Following this divine message, the idol was brought with great devotion and installed, and since then, the temple has become a major center of faith for millions.

What makes Salasar Balaji special is that the idol has a unique appearance with a beard and moustache, unlike most forms of Hanuman. Devotees believe that Balaji fulfills wishes, removes obstacles, and blesses with strength and protection.

Vishal Ganpati of Ahilya Nagar, with a history of over 400 years, is revered as the Gram Devta (guardian deity) of the city. The temple is famous for its massive idol of Lord Ganesha, which, according to local belief, was once continuously growing in size, symbolizing its immense divine energy. To control this miraculous growth, it is said that a mark was made on Bappa’s head with a hammer, after which the idol stopped growing and remains in the same grand form today. Since then, Vishal Ganpati has been worshipped with deep faith, with devotees believing that Bappa protects the city, removes obstacles, and fulfills wishes, making it one of the most powerful and spiritually significant temples in Ahilya Nagar 🙏
