The recently held C&I Clean Energy Meet 2026 in Lucknow, organised by Mercom India, brought together industry stakeholders to explore the opportunities and business models shaping how commercial and industrial consumers adopt clean power. Mr Ravi Kaushal, General Manager, BESS (Strategy & Growth), TrueRE Oriana Power, joined the panel discussion on “Switching to Renewable Energy and Optimizing Savings,” where he shared his perspective on how battery storage can make this transition more rewarding for businesses.
He noted that the business case for BESS becomes significantly stronger when storage delivers multiple value streams, including solar shifting, peak shaving and DG replacement.
Mr Kaushal also highlighted what will help BESS become more accessible to a wider set of businesses across the C&I segment, including continued progress in storage costs, more flexible financing and leasing models, and simpler, more predictable regulations.
At TrueRE Oriana Power, we see battery storage as a critical enabler of the next phase of C&I energy adoption. Our focus is on making BESS more commercially viable by designing storage solutions around real business needs, enabling greater utilisation of renewable energy and delivering multiple value streams from a single asset. The future of energy is integrated and storage will be central to building an energy system that is not only cleaner, but also more flexible, reliable and resilient.
