OSCAR IS BACK
On 12th October last year, I lost my Oscar. For a while, even showing up for the work I love felt difficult. So many of you held me through that time with your love, patience and understanding.
There hasn’t been a day since when I haven’t thought of him.
And now… there are little paws in my home again. 🐾
A beautiful black Labrador has entered my life, and I’ve given him a name my heart will always answer to: Oscar. 🤍
He is his own little soul, with a whole lifetime of memories waiting for us. But saying “Oscar” aloud again, and having someone come running, feels like a little piece of joy finding its way home.
Welcoming him during Navratri feels especially precious to me—a blessing from Maa, and a gentle reminder that we can carry love for the one we miss while making room for love again.
If you’ve ever thought of welcoming a dog into your family, and have the time and commitment to care for one, consider opening your home. There is something so beautiful about becoming someone’s whole world.
To my first Oscar: you will always be part of me.
To our little Oscar: welcome home.
I can’t wait for you all to know him. 🤍🐾
The one who taught me real meaning of god, helping the voiceless. The one who taught me what loyalty in truest sense means. And whats the meaning of a true friend by your side always.
