The A to Zee…. of basic e-Mailing etiquettes!
a) Prioritize whom to mark ‘to’ and ‘Cc’
b) Subject line should speak briefly about the purpose of your e-mail
c) Never leave the subject line EMPTY – this is considered malicious!
d) Identify if the ‘mood’ stamp is necessary for the receiver
e) Always be aware of the font size and color for the uniformity
f) Use proper formatting, spelling and grammar
g) Do not write in CAPITAL letters – it is similar to SHOUTING aloud!
h) Start with Formal salutations and greetings - Jumping to the purpose straight away is not desirable!
i) Speak what’s mentioned in the subject line first
j) Apart from the purpose, your e-mail should always mention your or your business name, location and all possible contact details
k) For a query e-mail, answer the query first and then raise your purpose (if required)
l) If more than one query received, answer them in the same chronology as received
m) Do not promise anything unrealistic or that you cannot do – remember that even an e-mail is considered a lawful promissory document!
n) Do not mention any explicit or offensive remarks
o) Do not use a harsh language – always use a soft tone, even if the other side was bad
p) End your e-mail with warm notions – this helps connecting with the receiver easily; consider proof reading before sending as IMPORTANT!
q) Always mention the company e-mailing disclaimer policy at the end of the e-mail
r) Use ‘HIGH PRIORITY’ wherever deemed appropriate
s) Forward your e-mails wisely so as to be considered worth reading
t) Answer your e-mails as swiftly possible and await the receiver’s response at his/her best convenience
u) Do not attach unnecessary files or any irrelevant matter into your e-mails
v) Always mind the size of attachments – the receiver’s server may be restricted for the attachment size

The recent floods in and nearby regions are yet another scary face of Mother Nature's fury. Time and again and since a long time, we have been speaking on the issues of global warming and the resultant imbalances in the Nature's cycle. Unfortunately, we have not done anything concrete to even apply brakes to the mass destruction of natural resources, leave apart the commencement of damage repair programs. The untimely rains that ruin the plantations, the floods and the landslides, the recent earthquakes in the seas and on the mountains - they all point towards a mayhem in waiting. The beauty of Mother Nature lies in the issuance of her warning before any calamity arising. It is up to us that we decipher her warning(s) timely. The remind me of Tsunami of 2004 and Mumbai floods a year after. Not only India, the whole world is going through this hustle and bustle of Nature. Storms like Katerina cause a havoc every year, Nature's catastrophe falling on China and there are many such cases across the globe. Do we realize that where are we heading to? Our empathies and sympathies for all those have suffered losses in terms of health, shelter, belongings, lives and property. May GOD bring peace everywhere and let agony minimized to as much less as possible. GOD Bless us all!
