FAQs on EDC STARTUP COMPETITION
1. Is the Competition open for new units registered during 2015-16?
Ans: Yes.
The units registered on 15/02/2016 and which have already started the operations can take part in the competition.
2. Is the Competition open for individual proprietory firms or partnership firms?
Ans: Yes.
The competition is open for all firms (proprietory, partnership, private limited companies, public limited companies, LLP, etc.). registered within last 5 years with turnover not exceeding Rs.25.00 Cr in any preceeding financial year.
3. Is any particular product or services have been identified for the Startup Competition?
Ans: No.
All products / services which are technology based and innovative type are eligible for the competition.
4. Is the startup should have availed loans from EDC Limited?
Ans: No.
It can be self financed or financed by other nationalized banks/co-operative banks, etc.
5. Is the startup should be setup in Goa?
Ans: Yes.
6. Is the startup should be setup by Goan Entrepreneur?
Ans: No.
7. Should the startup have any percentage of Goan employment?
Ans: No.
8. Is the startup should have a sale invoice in Goa?
Ans: No.
9. Is the startup should be a profit making firm?
Ans: No.
10. Can the startup started as a sister concern by a well established firm be eligible for the competition?
Ans: Yes.
The firm should satisfy the required eligibility criterias.
11. How will be the selection process? Is it point based?
Ans: Panel of judges will decide.
12. Is there any application fee for the Competition?
Ans: No.
13. Is the product has to be submitted to EDC Limited alongwith the application form?
Ans: No.
The panel of judges may request for the product demonstration if required.
14. Can the project taken up by Final year college student be eligible for the competition?
Ans: A student apply for the competition if he/she fulfills all the eligibility criteria of the competition.
15. Are any credentials required from the customers with regard to the use of the product or services at the time of submission of the application form?
Ans: No.
16. Is any opinion report required from the bankers at the time of submission of the application form?
Ans: No.
17. Can the scanned copy of the application form be sent by mail on [email protected]?
Ans: Yes.
