Back in the days women had to learn to cook the best food from their beloved grandmama's and Maria Fernandes was not treated any differently ! She learned the art of cooking from her grandmother and Maria was only 13 years old when she made her first sausage pulao ! With time her cooking skills grew and love for everything tasty ! She is enterprising and very enthusiastic in the kitchen ! Her fav

ourite past time is obviously cooking and easing but this powerhouse doesn't like to go through any cookbooks , she's a big fan of thrillers ! So After all these years of cooking and treating her family with the best food we thought she should only spread her wings and cook a lot more so with a little persuasion and encouragement her loved ones at home finally convinced her to start her own little catering company from home ! Yes � she is finally going to cook for all of us so we can enjoy her traditional Goan recipes and save ourselves all the hassle in the kitchen

Her company is called "the wooden spoon" because Maria loves to cook with traditional earthen pots and pans with beautiful wooden spoons so her food tastes authentic and has the most authentic flavours ! SORPOTEL is her favourite dish and she loves driving to the market every morning so her cooking ingredients are fresh and of best quality ! Picky when it comes to her seafood and meats but very generous when It comes to flavours and authenticity

We take extra care to make sure we don't prepare any other meats such as pork while preparing your food and utilise separate utensils . Also, we use halal meat.
