Job Description:
The Area Sales Manager – Operations in the Fashion Apparel sector is responsible for ensuring smooth end-to-end ex*****on of sales and retail operations in the assigned territory. This role combines sales performance oversight with deep operational involvement, including stock movement, retail ex*****on, store standards, vendor coordination, and supply chain alignment. The position ensures that operational efficiency supports and drives commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Operations Management
•Ensure operational readiness to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
•Monitor sell-in and sell-out performance across retail formats (EBOs)
•Work with the sales team to align operational ex*****on with sales goals.
2. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
•Coordinate with central warehouse, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure timely stock replenishment.
•Monitor stock movement and optimize stock levels across stores and distributors.
•Minimize stock-outs, overstocking, and dead stock through proactive planning.
3. Store & Visual Operations
•Ensure retail stores meet operational and visual merchandising standards.
•Conduct regular audits for store cleanliness, staff grooming, display compliance, and adherence to SOPs.
•Support store openings, refurbishments, and VM installations.
4. Vendor & Partner Management
•Liaise with third-party vendors for services such as logistics, in-store branding, and packaging.
•Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met with external partners.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting
•Analyze operational KPIs (e.g., sales per sq. ft., sell-through %, inventory turnover).
•Generate and present reports on stock health, shrinkage, and operational costs.
•Identify and implement process improvements based on data insights.
6. People & Process Management
•Train in-store staff and area sales executives on operational protocols and systems.
•Enforce compliance with company policies, SOPs, and audit requirements.
•Monitor and improve operational efficiency across all touchpoints.
7. Customer Experience & Feedback Loop
•Ensure operational excellence leads to high customer satisfaction at the store level.•Collect customer and retail partner feedback to improve services and operations.
