Class 2 DSC Discontinued
CCA has revised the guidelines for the issuance of DSC with effect from January 1st 2021. The revised guidelines are available at CCA Website link

The major modifications which have implications for you consist of the following:
From January 1st 2021 all Certifying authorities can issue only Class 3 individual and organization certificates. Class 2 certificates can no more be issued after December 31st 2020.
From January 1st 2021 all organization DSCs will only be in paperless mode. The organization DSCs in paper mode cannot be issued by any Certifying Authority.
Even for DSCs for Government officials, video verification is made mandatory effective January 1st 2021.
Users who already have the class 2 DSCs, can continue to use the same until the expiry in the sites which are accepting the class 2 DSCs.
The physical verification of DSC applicant shall be carried out using online interactive video verification directly by CA as per Annexure VI
