For Bihar APO Mains, don't write everything you know. Write what the question requires.

This is one habit students should develop before the Mains examination.

Suppose you have studied a topic very well. In the examination, the temptation is to reproduce everything you remember—definition, sections, cases and whatever else comes to mind.

That does not necessarily make it a good answer.

First identify what exactly has been asked. If it is a problem-based question, state the relevant law and then apply it to the given facts. If the question asks you to distinguish two concepts, don't spend half the answer explaining their history.

Use case law where it adds something. Mention the relevant provision correctly. Keep paragraphs short and make the conclusion clear.

Most importantly, practise deciding what to leave out.

At Judex Tutorials, this is one of the areas we focus on while evaluating Mains copies. A student may know the law correctly and still lose marks because the answer is lengthy, unfocused or does not properly apply the law.

Bihar APO Mains is descriptive, but descriptive does not mean writing endlessly.
