Dear all,

On Dec. 26th. 2004, a major catastrophe hit our islands, that is well known as Tsunami, which affected many a lives here and many families lost their loved ones during this natural calamity.
Today after many years, Andaman & Nicobar Islands is standing straight and heading up and running on the positive phase of development in turn bringing prosperity to the nation.
This day will always be remembered as a black day in the history of the islands. The pillar of silence stands as the image of prayer in the Aberdeen jetty inside Andaman Water Sports Complex;
paying homage to thousands of people who died and left this heavenly abode forever.
Today let us put some time in silence for prayers for all those souls to rest in peace and to depart peacefully in the rest of the almighty and may god provide strength to the beavered family to bear the loss and pain and to overcome this soon.
