Paryushan festival is the most important festival of Jain society. The primary concerns of this celebration depend on the essential five standards of Lord Mahavir. Ahimsa implies not to hurt anybody, Satya, Asteya implies not Stealing , Brahmacharya and Aparigraha implies not accumulating excessive wealth. Both the Shwetambar and Digambar people (group of Jainism) commend this celebration with reverence. Shwetambar society observes Paryushan celebration for eight days and Digambar society celebrates Paryushan festival in the form of ten signs for ten days. The Shwetambar society commends the Samvatsari celebration toward the finish of the Paryushan celebration, while the Digambar society celebrates the festival of forgiveness at the end of the Paryushan.
Dasalakshan celebration is additionally connected with nature and climate. Celebrated during monsoon, this festival also teaches the whole society to connect with nature. It has been associated with religion because whatever positive action is done, it is religion in the end. Ecological unevenness is the greatest worry in the entire present reality. The equilibrium between nature and climate is upset when the sensations of outrage, conscience, hallucination, ravenousness, lie, incontinence, opportunity, possessiveness, desire and so on. To control these bad feelings, brakes have been put in the form of following ten religions. The soul behind this is that the harmony between nature and climate ought to be kept up with. At the same time, we should keep meditating along with following religion.
The devotees of Jainism practice self-acknowledgment through Forgiveness, Softness, Straight Forwardness, Truth, Restraint, Austerity, Renunciation, Non Attachment, Celibacy. These ten religions work to wash away sins alongside showing the craft of living. It is seen that at present individuals are not seeing each other's sentiments and are attempting to embarrass one another. The adoration for one another is reaching a conclusion. Profound energy is running out. To avoid all this, Paryushan festival is going to act as a lifesaver in a person's life. Pardoning, Softness, Straightforwardness, Truth, Restraint, Austerity, Renunciation, Non Attachment, Dharma bring psychological wellness. There are no considerations of hatred, embarrassment for anybody, in the heart and psyche, nor does there remain hostility towards anybody. Self-control, austerity and celibacy bring physical health. Giving the meaning of Paryushana in Jain texts, it has been said – 'Pari Samantat Upante Dahyante Papakarmani Yasmin Tat Paryushanam' which implies one who consumes evil deeds, annihilates sins, uncovers the affectedness, shows the characteristics of the spirit, it is called Paryushana. The specialty of opening the bunches like Passion, connection, and so on, is known as the Paryushan Parva.
There are also ten day resolutions. These are as follows - I atone for the sins I have committed. I will no longer commit sin. I will acknowledge my error by being modest. I will understand the cause of my misery by my actions. I will utilize trees, earth, water, fire, air just as much as is fundamental for endurance. By doing self-reflection for 5 minutes consistently, I will put forth attempt to perceive oneself force. I will participate just with the creature. I will work for schooling and wellbeing and so on. This celebration gives the message of satisfaction and harmony to the whole creature world. In this festival, it is taken a pledge that we will never cause any kind of trouble to the living beings directly or indirectly. Will not have any enmity with anyone. I will apologize to all the creatures of the world for the mistakes made knowingly or unknowingly.

# COVID Variant 2.0 #
A new strain of the novel corona virus has found in UK and set off alarm in several parts of the world. There has been mutation in virus and it is being said that this new strain is 70 % more infectious. Many countries in the world including India after came to know about this strain have imposed flight bans on the flights coming from UK.
At the end of 2019 and beginning of New Year people in Wuhan province diagnosed with new type of virus and some days later it was declared pandemic and soon there was chaos everywhere. The virus spread quickly all over the world and reached almost every country.
In India at the starting, Government has enforced 21 day lockdown in the entire country and later on it extended. It was a very harsh step but it was extremely necessary.
When lockdown was announced a critical common failure on the part of government is visible. After declaring lockdown government put haphazard travel restriction firstly on international travel and suddenly on domestic transport. When government suspended all public transport without prior notice it create a disaster like situation especially for working class. Many were stranded thousands of miles from home and the shutdown triggered a mass exodus by foot. Having imposed an unplanned lockdown, the government was not prepared even with testing protocols to track down those infected with coronavirus.
There was also shortage of PPE kits especially masks, coveralls and sanitizers which are very essentials and mandatory according to guidelines. Ventilators which is very needed equipment to tackle a severe respiratory illness such as Covid-19, is in short supply by default in many hospitals. The amount of testing had been also awfully low due to lack of testing equipment. It also created an economic havoc in the lives of the millions who are part of the informal sector. Many were losses their jobs and became unemployed, the laborers across the country were going back to their villages in huge numbers because they neither have work nor they have means of earning or they hadn't food or shelter. A strong fall in the consumption of goods and services, which had an negative effect on businesses and in turn on National Economies. Key providers of Employment such as manufacturing, tourism, hospitality, travel services, retail industries along with MSMEs had to bear the acute brunt of covid-19.
Now the situation is under control and Government has lifting up restrictions. With opening up, many migrants workers came back and economy may come slowly slowly back on track. But before spread of new strain, government has to adopt a proper plan.
This plan include mass quarantine for congested areas, proper testing facilities and bulk stock of all necessary equipment, Fast reporting to find infective clusters, increasing intensive care units and hospital beds for peak infection period. There should also be proper plan for poor and migrant workers so that they don't get confused and such havoc situation created during lockdown 1 won't happen again.
For India, it is not only a public health challenge but also an economic challenge that needs to be tackled on a war footing by the central and state government.

# New normal effects #
Covid 19 has changed the world in unimaginable way. Who would have thought that billions of people would become home bound for indefinite period of time? Who could have possibly imagined staying healthy would become a bigger priority than making money!! The distances covid has created among human beings is a weird kind of lethal , felt more fiercely because of the end of friendly pleasantries between masked strangers. The most obvious changes are that most of us now have less face to face in person interactions with others and when we are face to face , we are wearing masks. We have less interaction overall and we spend more time on zoom, skype and other mediated platform. Handshakes, Highfives and Hugs are on indefinite hold and it replaced by waving and Namaste. It has changed everything.
When I talk for politics , with the rising covid-19 cases the centre has taken cautious approach and decided to club the winter session with 2021 budget session. The cautious approach is needed as parliament members come in close contact with officials, people and other members and are especially vulnerable to infection , despite covid safety protocols being followed at Parliament house. The situation of covid 19 spread in the national capital is making the government reluctant in having the session on time.
During the monsoon session there were more than 30 MPs who were tested positive for covid 19 during and beginning of the session and thus it came to premature end. But the monsoon session was remarkably efficient. In this session 25 Bills were passed in the parliament including labour reforms, Health sectors, Education sector and agricultural related ordinances.
The most highlighted are three farm Bills which create huge chaos with opposition benches registering their strong protest and walk out from both houses. The opposition misinformed farmers by saying the Bills open the roads for corporates to exploit farmers. The political parties that governed the nation for so long sang paeans to farmer welfare while the income level of farmers stagnated and farmers were driven towards distress and suicides.
It is deeply unfortunate that when our government has demonstrated the will to implement these transformative reforms, opposition parties are restoring to misinformation to score political points.
Together these three bills will create a system in which farmers and traders can buy and sell agricultural products outside mandis. India's agricultural market restrict farmers from selling directly to retailers and getting the right price for their produce. The existing system also forces the farmers to pay undue commissions. The fact is that farmers cannot be forced to enter into any agreement. They will be free to choose who they want to sell their produce .Opposition must have to rise above partisan politics.

# Farm act game changer #
Farm act is in favour of farmer's larger interest. Opposition party is protesting just to oppose this bill without studying the ordinance in detail. Opposition and its allies are unnecessarily creating confusion that APMC will be closed once the amended bill come into existence. The truth is that no APMC are going to be closed. Even the farmer who is today forced to sell his crop in APMC is getting an option to sell them to private firms, open market and even individually as well.
