Paryushan festival is the most important festival of Jain society. The primary concerns of this celebration depend on the essential five standards of Lord Mahavir. Ahimsa implies not to hurt anybody, Satya, Asteya implies not Stealing , Brahmacharya and Aparigraha implies not accumulating excessive wealth. Both the Shwetambar and Digambar people (group of Jainism) commend this celebration with reverence. Shwetambar society observes Paryushan celebration for eight days and Digambar society celebrates Paryushan festival in the form of ten signs for ten days. The Shwetambar society commends the Samvatsari celebration toward the finish of the Paryushan celebration, while the Digambar society celebrates the festival of forgiveness at the end of the Paryushan.
Dasalakshan celebration is additionally connected with nature and climate. Celebrated during monsoon, this festival also teaches the whole society to connect with nature. It has been associated with religion because whatever positive action is done, it is religion in the end. Ecological unevenness is the greatest worry in the entire present reality. The devotees of Jainism practice self-acknowledgment through Forgiveness, Softness, Straight Forwardness, Truth, Restraint, Austerity, Renunciation, Non Attachment, Celibacy. These ten religions work to wash away sins alongside showing the craft of living. It is seen that at present individuals are not seeing each other's sentiments and are attempting to embarrass one another. The adoration for one another is reaching a conclusion. Profound energy is running out. To avoid all this, Paryushan festival is going to act as a lifesaver in a person's life. Pardoning, Softness, Straightforwardness, Truth, Restraint, Austerity, Renunciation, Non Attachment, Dharma bring psychological wellness. There are no considerations of hatred, embarrassment for anybody, in the heart and psyche, nor does there remain hostility towards anybody. Self-control, austerity and celibacy bring physical health. Giving the meaning of Paryushana in Jain texts, it has been said – 'Pari Samantat Upante Dahyante Papakarmani Yasmin Tat Paryushanam' which implies one who consumes evil deeds, annihilates sins, uncovers the affectedness, shows the characteristics of the spirit, it is called Paryushana. The specialty of opening the bunches like Passion, connection, and so on, is known as the Paryushan Parva.
There are also ten day resolutions. These are as follows - I atone for the sins I have committed. I will no longer commit sin. I will acknowledge my error by being modest. I will understand the cause of my misery by my actions. I will utilize trees, earth, water, fire, air just as much as is fundamental for endurance. By doing self-reflection for 5 minutes consistently, I will put forth attempt to perceive oneself force. I will participate just with the creature. I will work for schooling and wellbeing and so on. This celebration gives the message of satisfaction and harmony to the whole creature world. In this festival, it is taken a pledge that we will never cause any kind of trouble to the living beings directly or indirectly. Will not have any enmity with anyone. I will apologize to all the creatures of the world for the mistakes made knowingly or unknowingly.
