Job description
Align Technology is seeking a ServiceNow Solution Architect to join our growing End User Engineering team. This position will be responsible for enterprise-wide technical architecture, platform capabilities, and will drive standardization and best practices. They will be required to provide technical guidance in platform development and advise on configurations and development standards. This individual will be required to maintain a close partnership and collaboration with other business stakeholders and subject matter experts.

In this role, you will

Create and maintains a detailed view of the existing architecture through documentation, diagrams, API interface specifications and component diagrams
Resolve technical escalations including responding to complex defects and solutioning of complex requirements
Facilitate client discovery sessions to define project scope and requirements, and translate them into business processes to functional specifications and user stories
Support workshops and presentations of key solution design, technology architecture concepts and demonstrations to stakeholders
Serve as a subject matter expert for developers, process leads, and stakeholders to understand best practices for implementing solutions in ServiceNow
Advises and responsible for patching, upgrades, cloning and other significant changes on the platform
Communicates and enforces development standards
Determines gaps between business requirements and product capability and defined workable solutions to bridge the gaps
Confirms the technical design and integration requirements with various systems to support processes and integrations that require data exchange
Evaluates market trends and new feature releases to support project and roadmap planning

In this role, you ll need

8+ years of relevant experience in designing or developing ServiceNow solutions
ServiceNow CSA, CMA, CTA certifications preferred
ITIL v3 or v4 foundation level certification preferred
Has completed full cycle implementations on the Now platform
Proficiency of JavaScript and common scripting languages used by ServiceNow
Experience with REST/SOAP
Ability to interpret business priorities and understand business needs
Proficiency in English through verbal and written communication
