Museum Ship Khukri, Diu

Privileged to enhance and augment the museum experience on board INS Khukri (P49), thoughtfully weaving immersive storytelling into the ship’s authentic structure. This project has been a meaningful opportunity to integrate design and history—to not only honour India’s maritime heritage and the bravery of those who served, but also to ensure that this history is shared, understood, and remembered.

History resonates when it’s felt—not just told—the narrative was curated with clarity and purpose to make the story of INS Khukri relevant, accessible, and inspiring.

A heartfelt thank you to the Maritime Mumbai Museum Society for entrusting us with this initiative, along with Heritage Synergies, Diu UT Administration, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, and Elanvital for their support.

Special thanks to Kamalika Bose for enriching the project with her deep knowledge of Indian Navy and Maritime history, bringing her curatorial insight and nuanced approach, and seamlessly bridging the vision with design and on-ground ex*****on.

With immersive narratives and thoughtful spatial design, the Museum Ship Khukri invites visitors to engage deeply with the Navy’s history, ethos, and the lives lived at sea.

We’re honoured to share our journey regarding our role in contributing to the design of Abhay Prabhavana Museum & Knowledge Centre—a ‘Museum of Ideas’ dedicated to deepening the understanding of Shraman and Jain values. This space is more than a museum; it’s an immersive experience where silence speaks, philosophy breathes, and reflection is invited.

The core challenge lay in translating profound philosophical thought into an experience that is intellectually rich yet emotionally accessible. Guided by the vision of Dr. Abhay Firodia and shaped through close collaboration with the Abhay Prabhavana team and the Amar Prerna Trust, we crafted a space that balances spiritual depth with immersive storytelling—where abstract concepts are made tangible through spatial clarity, sensory design, and narrative flow.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Abhay Firodia, Mrs. Shribala Chordia, Mrs. Sunanda Mehta, and the entire team for trusting us with this vision. Abhay Prabhavana is our humble tribute—a sanctuary that reflects the fearlessness, clarity, and timeless relevance of Jain philosophy.

Our work for the Krantiagrani Dr. G. D. Bapu Lad Museum at Kundal was inaugurated earlier today in the presence of Shri. Sharad Pawar. And we feel proud and humbled in equal measure to see our work coming to fruition! We sincerely hope that it helps preserve the memory of Dr. Lad, and inspire a sense of pride among the people of Kundal/ Sangli about their rich local history.
